Activity 1: Warm up(5’)

Activity 2: Teacher’s presentation(13’)

1. Pre teaching: Pyramid.
- Draw part of pyramid on the board and ask Ss:
+ What is it? – It’s a pyramid. (repeat some times for Ss)
+ Which country is famous for pyramids? – Egypt.
- Have Ss to look at the picture in their book and describe it. 
+ What do you see in the picture?
+ What is Eddie doing? 
+What is he wearing? What color is it?
- Write Are they blue pyramids? Yes, they are. No, they aren’t. On the board and explain for them that we put Are before they to ask about many things. Stress that blue comes before pyramids. 
- Play CD, have Ss to listen, look at their book and repeat after the CD. 
- Divide the class into 2 groups, one ask and one answer.
- Have Ss to work in pair and invite them to read aloud in front of the class, if they read well, give stickers.

- Read the conversations with different voice (angry, sad, and happy).
- Draw 3 faces with different emotion on the board. Make sample for Ss.
 . For ex: point to the angry face and read the conversation with angry voice. 
- Invite a child to do the same, if he/she can do well, give a sticker.
- Have other Ss to read with sad and happy voice.
- Encourage Ss to think about other emotions and practice reading with.

- Look at the board and listen to the teacher, try to imitate the teacher’s voice. 
- Ss try to practice reading with different voice. 
Activity 3: Students’ practice.(15’)
Mode : Ss↔Ss, T ↔ Ss
Teach the song.
- Point at two teddy bears in the bookand ask Ss Are they green/blue/yellow teddy bears? And have Ss to answer Yes, they are. No, they aren’t.
- Play the CD, have children to listen and look at the TV. Play the CD again and have children listen and repeat sentence by sentence.
- Play the CD again, ss listen and sing along.

Activity 1: Warm up(5 minutes)

. Play the song Hello. What’s your name?, have Ss to sing along. Ask some Ss the question :What’s your name? And have them to answer.

Activity 2: Teacher’s presentation(10’)
Mode: T↔Ss
1. - Pre-teach :cat, hat, hot. 
- Show a small part of a picture (a cat), have Ss to guess, and then ask What is it?. Wait for the children answer and reply in English cat. 
- Go on with the picture of a hat. Stick two pictures on the board and have Ss to speak cat, hat.
- Express that feeling so hot (stand in front of a fan) and ask the children (Tại sao cô lại đứng trước quạt nhỉ?) – Reply the children I’m hot. Hot. 
- Write cat, hat, hot on the board, drill the words again and have the children to repeat.
- Write 4 letters a, o, h ,t on the board speak and have Ss to repeat.
 Ex: a – hat
 o – hot
 h – hat
 t – cat

- Try to answer the teacher. (Thưa cô con mèo ạ.), repeat the word cat.
- Guess and say hat.

- Play the CD and ask the children to listen and repeat the sounds and the words. Have them to repeat two or three times.
- Have the children to point to the letters and the words in their book. Then practice the words around the class chorally and individually.

 - Look at the teacher and imitate actions of teacher. 
-Listen and use their actions to chant after the pauses.
3. - Look at the board, listen and repeat the sounds and the words, point to the book.

- Play game: Slap board (the 4 letter and 2 words)
Makes 2 lines in front of the board, say the rule and make sample. Then have the children to play. 
- Play game.
Materials: CD, chalkboard.
 2. - Write hot across the board as separate letters. Play the first part of the CD and have the children listen to the sounds. Ask one child to connect the letter on the board with a line.
- Then play the CD again and have the children connect the letters on their book.
 3. Let’s write: a or o?
- Tell Ss that teacher will say a word, and they have to listen and find out that word contains a or o, then write on the board. 
- Divide the class into 4 teams. Call out hat, the child from each team writes a or o on the board. Give one point for a correct answer.
- Repeat with more words, e.g. cat, cot, pat, pot, map, mop, tap, top, cap, cop.
4. Guide them to do exercise in workbook, page 6.
*Summary(5’):
- Point to the 4 letters a, o, h, t and have Ss to read aloud.
- Play the CD and have Ss to read the chant once more time.
