- Elicit Ss to find out the model sentences by asking some question in Vietnamese

+ When Li Li wants to tell she likes monkeys. How does she say?

+ Like (show smile icon)

+ When Nam wants to tell he doesn’t like monkeys. How does he say?

+ Don’t like (Show sad icon)

- Ask Ss to read in chorus twice

- Ask Ss to change:

Monkeys → elephants, tigers

- Ask Ss to read in chorus and in pairs

I. Overview
1. Objectives: By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to tell the hobbies of the animals. 
2. Language contents
- Vocabulary: monkeys, tigers, elephants, bears
- Model sentences: 
I like monkeys
I don’t like monkeys.
3. Teaching aids: pictures, posters, cassette, tape, puppets.
4. Ways of working: T, S, pair work, group work.
5. Anticipated problem: Ss may make mistake in pronunciation /s/.

- Greeting.
- Ask Ss to sing the song “Shake your sillies out”

* Set the scence
- Ask Ss to watch a clip about the circus and answer the question “Where is it?”
 + Yes, It’s our lesson: At the circus
- Ask Ss to open the notebook and write.
- Write the title on the board 
- Watch and answer the question
- Answer “Rap xiếc”
2. Presentation.
Look, listen and repeat
(13-15’)
* New words
- monkeys (action + picture + word card)
- tigers (sound + picture + word card + action)
- bears ( picture + word card)
- elephants (sound + picture + word card + action)
- Listen and repeat (whole class/ group/ individual)
- Ask Ss to repeat all words
- Call 2 students to read.
* Check: Stress
- Ask Ss to listen and answer “one or two” in monkeys, tigers, elephants
- Ask Ss to read again.
- Read (Whole class/ individual/ whole class)
* Check: “Stop the bus”.
+ Listen and guess “what is it?” 
+ What game is it? (stop the bus)
+ Good job. Stop the bus game
Game rules: 
- The bus will take a suggestion word, when the bus goes on; you have to look at suggestion word carefully. 
- If you can find the correct word, raise your hand and say “Stop the bus”. Who finds the correct word will get the gift.
- Play game.

- Look at the board & answer the questions

+ They’re Li Li, Linda, Nam, Peter, Mai

- Play the CD to check their guess

- Ask Ss to listen and repeat in chorus
- Ask Ss to read in group of three.
