1. Presentation:

a. Pre - teaching vocabulary:

- taller: cao hơn

- shorter: thấp hơn

- bigger: lớn hơn

- smaller: nhỏ hơn

- older: già hơn

- younger: trẻ hơn

+ Checking vocabulary: rub out and remember

b. Form:

Meaning: Hỏi/ đáp để so sánh ngoại hình của ai đó.

3. Production: free talk

Play game “ Find the candy”

III. Homelink

- Learn the vocabulary and structure by heart

- Prepare the new lesson (lesson 2: 4, 5, 6 p27)

Objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions about comparing someone’s physical appearance:
“Who’s taller?
The girl is taller”
Materials: Pictures, textbook, posters, CDs

I. Warm-up: play game

- T divides class into 2 groups ( orange and apple)
- T asks a person and models.
- T writes the word on a piece of paper, a person looks at this and just uses the action. Other people in group guess.
- If they guess the action correctly, they will get 10 marks. 
-The group which gets more marks will be the winner.

3. Production: free talk
Play game “ Find the candy”
- T shows some pictures to introduce new words.
-T asks Ss to repeat the vocabulary in choral 3 times and then calls on some Ss to repeat them.
- T writes the word on the board and asks Ss “what does it mean?”
-Ss answer and copy down.
- T asks Ss look at the picture and asks them to identify the characters in the picture:
+ “How many pictures are there?”
+ “Who are they?”
+ “What are they doing?”
-Ss answer the question.
- Then T plays CD and asks Ss listen & point to the words they are hearing.
- T plays CD again and asks Ss listen and repeat sentence by sentence.
- After T is Nam, Ss are Peter and change role.
- T asks Ss to look at the conversation, who can give me the new structure used to talk about comparing someone’s appearance.
- Ss pick out the form
- T gives the structure.
- T models – Ss ask and answer.
-T – Ss, Ss – T
- T asks Ss work in pair to practice the 3 pictures in page 26.
- Then T calls some pair to read aloud.
- Ss give feedback.
- T explains the rule of game:
+ T asks Ss takes turn to choose a number.
+ If Ss choose candy, they will get candy without answering any question
+ If group chooses number, they will answer a question. They will get candy if they answer the question correctly.
- Ss practice in pairs in front of class (close/ open).

- Learn the vocabulary and structure by heart
- Prepare the new lesson (lesson 2: 4, 5, 6 p27)
- T writes the homelink on the board.
- T reads all the activities.
- Sts copy down into their notebook.
