New words *Act 1 : warm up ( chatting ) To motivate Ss before starting the new lesson Have students look at the picture on page 57 (or show the picture on the board) and ask some questions so that they can understand the picture. *Act 2 : Pre- reading ( vocabulary ) T- whole class: Realia Synonym Picture . Hang the poster of statements on the board and ask students to guess which the statements are true and which are false. *Task 2 : check To help Ss improve reading skill Ask students to read the dialogue on page 57 and check their predition. Have Ss correct false staements. *Task 3: Answer To help Ss improve speaking skill Have Ss work in pairs to find out the answers of these questions. Now, work in pairs and guess about the conservation between them. Give feedback: Call on some Ss to answer the questions. Teacher checks and writes the answers on the board if necessary. Ask students to work in open pairs (some pairs of students practice asking and answering before the class). Have Ss work in closed pairs> * Act 4 : Production ( discussion ) To help Ss speaking skill Ask Ss to work in groups, discussing topic: Pairs work Group work Is the TV on? Who is watching TV? Discussion: “What do you do to dave energy at home and at school?”.
