Secondary school entrance exam - 037

Nam went to Australia on a student program last year and he likes to tell me about it. It was very exciting when he knew he was going to Australia because he had never been there before. He didn’t think about the problems of speaking English until he met his family. At first he couldn’t communicate with them because his English was so bad. For five years he had been learning English wasn’t much used at all because they didn’t have real practice at school. Even though his grammar was good, his pronunciation wasn’t. His problem is pronouncing ‘l’ and ‘r’. For example, Australian people often asked “What does he eat in Vietnam?” he wanted to tell them that he eats rice, but they didn’t understand when he said “He eats lice”
