- Have students sing the song “Hello song”.

- Say Hello to some students and ask them to respond.

- Have students open the book on page 8 and look at the pictures in part 1: Look, listen and repeat.

- Ask students some questions to elicit:

+ Who are they ?

+ Where are they?

+ What are they talking about?

- Play the Cd 1st for students to listen and point.

- Play the CD 2nd for students to listen and repeat.

- Devide the class into 2 teams: team Sun and team Moon.

- Have team Sun say first, then change the role.

- Have students work in pairs.

- Call some pairs to say aloud.

- Correct the pronunciation, if necessary.

- Give stars for good performance.

Greet and respond to the greetings, using How are you? and I’m fine, thanks. And you?.
Say goodbye, using Goodbye/Bye!

Teaching new model sentence:
Have the whole class say the dialog of picture a in part 1 again.
Ask students:
+ What does Mai ask Nam?
+ What does Nam respond?
Explain the meaning.
Have team Moon ask, team Sun answer, then change the role.
Get students work in pairs.
Call some pairs to say aloud.
Correct the pronunciation, if necessary.
Give stars for good performance.
Practise the new model sentence: Play the game “Throw the ball”.
Stick some characters on the board. There are some stars behind each character.
Call 1 student from each team to go to the board.
Ask each student to choose 1 character, practise the new model sentence.
After that, get students unstick the characters on the board to know how many stars they have got.
Correct the pronunciation, if necessary.
