Grammar: Gerund – V(-ing ) following after some verbs: LOVE, LIKE

* Skills: listening, speaking, reading

*Attitute: Ss know how to search information on differrent the media.

- T: asks Ss to look at the pictures and answer the questions:

What are the people in the pictures doing?

- Ss: match the pictures with the phrases : watching TV, reading newspapers, listening the radio, reading magazines, using the internet.

- T: asks Ss to practice the dialogue in pairs ( closed pairs ).

A: Which of these is your favorite in your free time?

B: ( Watching TV )

A: How many hours a week do you spend watching TV?

B: (About 4 or 5 hours , I guess )

* Gerund:
Presentation: Gerund . + V(ing ) 
 + A gerund words as a subject ( S ) , an object (O) , a complement (C).
 + A gerund follows after some verbs expressing a habit or taste:
 like , love , enjoy , hate . + Ving.
 Compering : I like to go to the movies. ( I want..)
 I like watching cartoons. ( I enjoy..)
 Exercise3: Make questions and answers about each item in the box. Follow the example.
 EX: Do you like playing soccer? – Yes, I do. / No, I don’t.
 Do you enjoy fishing? - Yes, I love it. / I don’t know. I’ve never tried it.
- Ss: make sentences on their own words . Then Ss practice in pairs.
 Answers:

 * Cách dùng của động từ “wish”
 Động từ “wish” (ước ao, mong ước) thường được dùng để diễn tả những ước muốn,những điều không có thật hoặc rất khó thực hiện.
 * Structures:
S + wish(es) + S + V2/(ed) + 
S + wish(es) + S + didn’t + V(inf) +..

 Ex: I wish I had a computer.
 She wishes she didn’t learn English badly.

 b/ Bad points:
+ Bên cạnh các em tốt cũng có nhiều em viết chữ còn quá ẩu, tẩy xóa nhiều trong bài kiểm tra.(VD: HuyÒn, Huy, D­¬ng....) 
+ Một số bạn chưa chăm học, những cấu trúc câu, ngữ pháp không thuộc nên không áp dụng để làm bài tập, bài tập chia động từ chưa thạo, cách chuyển ngôi chưa tốt, dẫn đến điểm chưa cao( VD: D­¬ng, HuyÒn, S¬n......)

* Try to persuade your partner to do the following things to protect the environment.
- T: asks Ss to read the persuading expressions and the idea cues give in the textbook carefully. Make sure Ss understand all of the ideas suggested.
- Ss: work in pairs, persuade your partners to do things to protect the environment. Follow the example.
 Example: (textbook)

A: I think it would be better if we reuse and recycle bottles and cans.
B: Why? How come?
A: Because reusing and recycling bottles can reduce garbage and save natural resources.

- T: turns on the tape (2 or 3 times ).
- T: asks Ss to compare the answers with their friends . 
- T: calls on some Ss to read aloud the answers , and give the correct answers.
How the oocean is polluted
Firstly : raw sewage is pumped directly into the sea .
Secondly : Garbage is dropped into the sea .
Thirdly : oil spills come from ships at sea .
Next : Waste materials come from factories .
Finally : Oil is washed from the land . 
- T: has Ss compare with their predictions and gives marks to Ss who have guessed truely .

- T: divides the class into four groups to play games to summarize the contents of the listening.
