I. Aim: 
 * By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to 
 - Talk about one’s temperature, height , weight .
 - Respond to doctor’s instruction during a check up
 - Ss should be taught how to keep fit and stay healthy.
Skills: Listening, reading, pronunciation and writing
II. Language contents
1. Grammar:
 + Review: Simple present and simple past tenses
 * Structure: Would you + verb.. ? à I need to + verb .
2. Vocabulary: 
(n) height, centimeter, scales , a medical check – up, a medical record , 37oC (degree Celsius)

Teacher’s and students’ activities 
- T asks Ss read the paragraph , answer the question , and write the new words .

- T: Divides the class into 2 groups each choose a word and make sentences.
* Presentation Picture :
- Using pictures of a nurse taking Hoa’s temperature, a nurse measure Hoa, a nurse weigh Hoa.
- Ss look at the picture, they listen then answer the questions.
+ What does nurse do? Take Hoa’s temperature, measure, weighs Hoa.
+ What is Hoa height? à 1.45 cm 
 weight? à 40 kilos 
+ Where are they? ( hospital )
- T presents the situation of the dialogue.
- Ss listen
- T introduces the new lesson and presents the new words.
- Ss read new words after the teacher.
- Some read new words in front of class.
- Ss say the meaning.
* Checking technique: 
- Then T checks new words by “matching”
- Then T presents the structure 
- T asks Ss to listen to the tape 
- Ss read the lesson in silence 
- T calls some pairs to role play in front of the class
- Now work in close pairs and open pairs
- T corrects students’ pronunciation.
- T divides the class into 4 groups . Each group discuss and number the sentences in order
- Next T has students number the sentences in order.
* Gap Fill :
- To review voc.
- T gives Ss to do exercises.
- Ss practice.
- T remarks and can give marks
- Ss work in pairs then some write the missing words on the board 
- T calls Ss to give answers in front of the class.
