Teacher’s activities

I. Lead in:

- Ask Ss a question:

+ What will you talk about when someone ask you about your school?

-Lead in the new lesson: Yes, that’s what you talk about your school. Let’s see what Ba talks about his school.

II. Pre-Practice

- Introduce the situation and teach the new words:

+ classroom (n) (picture): phòng học

+ student (n) : học sinh (example)

Eg: You are students

+ desk (n): cái bàn (picture)

+ school (n): trường học (picture)

+ teacher (n): giáo viên (picture)

- Model these new words.

- Ask the Ss to read the new words.

- Check understanding using the technique: “ Matching”.

- Have Ss listen and fill in the missing words in groups of three.

-Call some Ss to give answers.

III.Controlled- Practice

- Ask the Ss to read these sentences.

- Call on some pairs to practice.

- Ask the Ss to give the sentences for how to introduce school and classroom.

- Give the structures to introduce person or thing.

IV. Free - Practice

I. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
* Language content : Introduce the Ss some new words and structures.
* Language function: By the end of the lesson, The Ss will be able to introduce the things in the school, then ask and answer the thing and person.
* Educational aim: To educate the Ss love for their school and for their classmate.
1. Language:
a.Vocabulary: school, classroom, student, teacher, class, desk, that, this.
b.Structures: This is my school. That is my class.
2. Skills: Integrated skills:pay much attention to listening and speaking 
3. Education factor: Knowing to introduce the thing and person in class.
II. TEACHER AND STUDENT S’ PREPARATION:
1. Method: Communicative approach
1. Techniques:Repetition, asking, answering.
2. Material needed: Pictures, cassette 
3. Students’ preparation: look up the meaning of some new words 
4. Previous exercises: Lesson 4, 5, 6.
III. PROCEDURE IN CLASS:
1. Stabilization: 2 minutes 
 a.Warm–up:make greetings 
 b.Checking absence
2. Checking up previous knowledge: Time needed:5 minutes
