Period 130: UNIT 18: WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO THIS SUMMER? Lesson 1: part 3-4-5 I. Objectives: After the lesson Ss will be able to: - Asking and answering questions about where someone plans to go. Develop: Speaking and lisstening skills. - Ss look after , solve problems and study themselves. - Studious and obedient students and love their friends. II. Language focus: - Vocabulary: summer, summer holidays, sea, hotel, sancastle... - Sentence patterns: - Where are going this summer? – I’m going to.... III. Teaching methods: - Communicative approach. - Techniques: Ask and answer (say individually);Work in pairs/ groups;Discuss. IV. Resources: CD and radio, students’ book V. Procedure: Teacher’s work Students’ activities Warm up: chatting . 4. Listen and tick - Have pupils look at pictures a, b, c on page of the Student Book. -Have ss identify places where students are going to ? Tell pupils that they are going to listen to the recording and tick the pictures they hear. 5. Look and write - Have ss look at the sentences and using the pictures -Ask ss read questions and thinks of possible answers, using the picture cure - Call on some Ss to report the answers . - Have ss read aloud the words they have written. - Check and correct. 5. Let’s sing - Get Ss to match each character with the corresponding lines before they listen to the song. - Get Ss to read line of the lyrics. - Play the recording all the way through. - Ask Ss to do choral and individual repetition of the song line by line. - Have the class sing the song again and clap their hands to reinforce the activity Reinforcement and homelink: - Have ss learn to sing: Can you swim? + Have ss listen for the first time. + Call some ss to sing. - Ask Ss to do Ex in Part E (WB) - Indentify the characters in each picture. - Listen and tick.
