Thì hiện tại đơn:(The simple present tense)
2.Động từ thường:ex:go, get, live
a.Câu khẳng định:trong câu khẳng định chú ý động từ đi sau ngôi thứ 3 số ít thì động từ phải thêm “S” hoặc “ES”.
I/You/we/they/ N(số nhiều) +V (n/m)
 N:danh từ
 V(n/m):động từ nguyên mẫu
Ex:They get up at six oc’lock
 V(n/m)
She/he/it/ N(ngơi thứ 3 số ít) +V (s/es)
 Những động từ có chữ cái kết thúc bắng các từ sau:o,s,x z,ch ,sh thì ta thêm “es” còn lại ta chỉ thêm “s”
 She gets up at six oc’lock.
Động từ “get” đi sau “she”(she l ngơi thứ 3 số ít) ta phải thêm “s”
She washes her face .Động từ “washes” đi sau “she”(she l ngơi thứ 3 số ít) ta phải thêm “s” nhưng vì từ wash tận cùng là “sh” ta phải thêm “es”.
Lưu ý:Một số động từ tận cùng là y ta đổi y thành i rồi thêm “ es”
Ex:- They study English on Monday
 - she studies English on Monday
b.Câu nghi vấn:
*câu hỏi yes/no:Trong câu hỏi ta phải mượn trợ động từ chứ không được đưa động từ lên trước chủ ngữ.
Do+you/I/we/they/ N(số nhiều) +V(n/m) ..?
 Ex:Do you play sports?-yes,I do hoặc no, I don’t
Does+ She/he/it/ N(ngơi thứ 3 số ít) +V(n/m) ?
Ex: Does she play sports?-Yes,she does, hoặc no,she doesn’t
*.Câu hỏi với wh.(what,who,why,which,when,how):
Wh +do+you/I/we/they/ N(số nhiều) +V(n/m) ..?
Ex: which sports do they play? -They play soccer.
Wh+does+ She/he/it/ N(ngơi thứ 3 số ít) +V(n/m) ?
Ex:which sports does she play? -She plays soccer
câu trả lời phụ thuộc vo từng từ hỏi cụ thể.
c. Câu phụ định: Trong câu phụ định phải mượn trợ động và thêm “not” sau trợ động từ .
+you/I/we/they/ N(số nhiều) +do not do not=don’t
Ex:They don’t play soccer
+She/he/it/ N(ngơi thứ 3 số ít) +does not does not= doesn’t
Ex:She doesn’t play soccer

*. Cách thêm ING sau động từ
A. Bình thường ta thêm ING sau động từ
 Vi dụ: play - > playing, go - > going, 
B. Khi một động từ tận cùng bằng e ta bỏ e trước khi thêm ING
 ví dụ:drive-driving. Ride - > riding, have - > having
C. Khi một động từ có một âm tiết , tận cùng bằng một phụ âm trước nó là một nguyên âm và thì ta thì ta gấp đôi phụ âm này trước khi thêm ING
 ví dụ: run - > running.(chạy) Get - > getting
Trạng từ :
Now: by giờ , right now: ngay lc ny, at the moment: lc ny, at this time: tại thời diểm ny, at present: hiện nay, ......
