 - Lặp lại động từ giới thiệu SAY/ SAID nếu không có tân ngữ:

 - Chuyển sang TELL/ TOLD, nếu SAY/ SIAD có tân ngữ:

 - Dùng lien từ THAT thay cho dấu hai chấm, bỏ dấu ngoặc kép.
