III. New lesson.(35’)
1) Pre – reading.
Present some new words to the students.
-Read then write on the board.
-Explain the meaning, give examples
-Students repeat in chorus then write on the notice-book.
Preparing: 15/09/2012 Teaching: 18/09/2012 Period 9 Unit 2: Making arrangements. Lesson 4. Read Objectives: -At the end of the lesson students can: +Read for specific information about Alexander Graham Bell. -Contents +Vocabulary: emigrate to, transmit, conduct, demonstrate, device, deaf- mute. +Grammar: Past simple tense. Teaching aids: - Lesson plan, Students’ book , workbook, CD-Player. Teaching procedure: Activities Content Organization.(2’) Greetings and checking attendances: What is the weather like ? Who is absence today ? Checking the old lesson.(3’) Check their works at home. -Introduce the topic of the lesson to the students. New lesson.(35’) Pre – reading. Present some new words to the students. -Read then write on the board. -Explain the meaning, give examples -Students repeat in chorus then write on the notice-book. -Review the past simple tense. +Using ”Brain storm” to complete the part. -Give some pre- questions: - Students predict the answers in groups. While – reading. - Students read the text to find out the answers to the pre- questions. - Read one time and then do exercise 1,2 in textbook ( P. 22) . -Call some students to check the answers. -Give the correct answers. -Guide the students put the events in the correct order. -Using” Snowflake” -Check their works. Remark and give the key. Post- reading -Call some good students to read the text. Feedback.(3’) Review the past simple tense. Homework (2’) Guide the students do these works: - Do exercise in workbook. - Prepare for the next lesson. Attendance: 8…………… I.
