-Introduce the topic of the lesson to the students.( Now we are going to review how to use adv of manners, modal (should) and commands, requests and advice in reported speech)

Activity 1
- Ask the students to repeat some adverbs of manner and usage of them.
- Make some examples.
-Let the students read the dialogue in silence.
-Students find the correct words to complete and compare with the other.
-Give the correct answers.
-Let the students practice reading the dialogue in pairs.

*Help the students to review the way to use of “ Should”:
- Ask the students to look at the picture and answer the simple questions:
+) Do you think the house is new?
+) Is Mr. Hao’s house beautiful?
+Should Mr.Hao repair the roof?
- Call some students to go to the board and write sentences about Mr.Hao’s house.
-Check and correct the mistakes if any..

*Help the students review the structures:
-Commands, requests and advice in reported speech.
-Give the theory first in brief.
-Explain how to change.
-Let the students read two examples carefully.
-Let the students write the changed sentences on the notice-book.
- Call some students go to the board to check and give the correct sentences.
*Guide the students do the task similar to the task 3.

I. Put the verbs in brackets into the correct form.

I. Adverbs of manner.
- softly, well, fast, badly.
-> used before verb.
Eg: She speaks English very well.
Adverb = Adj +ly
1. Complete the dialogues. Use the adverbs of manner in the box.

2. Work with a partner. Look at the picture of Mr.Hao’s house. Use words in the box. Say what he should do.

III. Commands, requests and advice in reported speech
a. Commands, requests
*Commands.
- Tell somebody to do something.
Eg: The teacher said to us “ stand up, please”
-> The teacher told us to stand up.
* Requests.
- Ask somebody to do something.
Eg: He asked me to buy it.
b. Advice
- Say somebody( that) should do something.
- advice somebody to do something.
3. Work with a partner. Suppose you are Tim’s mother. Report Miss Jackson’s commands and requests in her conversation with Tim’s mother.
a) Miss Jackson asked me to wait for her outside her office.
b) Miss Jackson told me to give you your report card for this semester.
c) Miss Jackson told me to help you with your Spanish pronunciation.
d) Miss Jackson asked me to meet her next week.
4. Work with a partner. Report Miss Jackson’s advice she gave in her conversation with Tim’s mother.
a)“ Miss Jackson said you should spend more time on Spanish pronunciation.”
b)“ Miss Jackson said you should practice speaking Spanish every day.”
c)“ Miss Jackson said you should listen to Spanish conversations on TV.”
d)“ Miss Jackson said you should practice reading aloud passages in Spanish.”
