-Call some students to read the text.

New lesson.(35’)
Pre- writing
-Help the students to study some new words:
+Let the students skim and find out the word.
+Explain the meaning.
+Students repeat in chorus.
-Help the students to get to know the form of an English letter.
+ Do you usually write to someone?
- Ask the students to read the letter on page 51.
- Work individually to identify the sections Then label them with correct letter in the box.
-Pay their attention to usage of comma after the greeting and at the end of the letter.
- Call some students to give their answer.
- Correct and give right answer.
While- writing
- Ask the students to read the information in the letter and answer:/compare with the letter.
+ Who write the letter?
+ Who receive it?
- Ask the students to work individually to write a letter.
-Call some students to write their letter on the board.
Post- writing 
- Ask them to compare with their partners and corrects the mistake if you can.
- Call some students to read out completed letter.
-Correct the mistakes if any.
-Let the students write the letter on the notice-book

Thanks for your letter. I’m pleased to hear you had a happy Mother’s Day.
I received my second semester report last month. I got good grades for Geography, physics and Math, but my English and History results were poor. My teacher told me to improve English and History. I think I will have to study harder next school year.
In a few weeks We’re going to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival. That’s a moon festival in Autumn or Fall in Viet Nam. I’m going to Ha Long Bay with my aunt and uncle by bus this afternoon and I’m going to stay there with them until after the festival. I’ll send you a postcard from there.
