Aims After the lesson, sts will be able to: - Develop reading skill. - Improve vocabulary by reading “The lost shoes” story. - Learn a moral lesson from the story. B. Language Contents. 1. Check old lesson. - Ask sts about the content of the Listening lesson: The moral lesson: don’t be foolish and greedy. - Correct and get mark. III. New lesson. 1. Warm up. * Brainstorming: name some folk tales that you have read. Consolidation. - Retell the main content of the lesson 6. Aims After the lesson, students will be able to: - Develop writing skill through a folktale - Know more new words through a moral lesson. B. Language Contents. 1. Vocabulary: graze, servant, master, tie, wisdom, ... 2. Grammar: review past simple tense. C. Teaching Aids. Sub boards, pictures, handout, work sheets, computer…. D. Teaching Methods. Communicative method, writing skill E. Procedures. I. Class organization. - Number students in the class. II. Check old lesson. - Call on one student to tell the folktale "the lost shoe". - Correct and get mark. III. New lesson. Warm up. - Ask and answer drill. + Do you want to read imaginary store? + Which story do you like best? + have you ever read the story “how the tigers got his stripes"? + Why do tigers have black stripes? + Why do tigers have black stripes? - Teacher introduces the lesson. 2. Where was the man? What did the buffalo do when the tiger appeared? What did the tiger want to know? What did he do before going home? Why? What did he do when he returned? - Give feedback He was in his field It grazed nearby. The tiger wanted to know why strong buffalo was the servant and the small man was the master. He tied the tiger to a tree with rope because he didn't want it to eat the buffalo. When he returned, he lit the straw to burn the tiger. 3. While - Writing. - Get students to do exercise 2. They have to imagine being a man in order to write the story. - Get students to change: The man → I His → My - Let students write in groups - Give feedback - Suggested answers: One day, as I was in the field and my buffalo was grazing nearby, a tiger appeared. The Tiger asked why the strong buffalo was my servant and I was it master. I told the tiger that I had something called wisdom. The tiger wanted to see it, but I told it I left it at home that day. Then I tied the tiger to a tree with a rope because I didn't want it to eat my buffalo. I went to get some straw that I said was my wisdom and I burned and the tiger. The tiger escaped, but to day it still has black trips from the burn. 4. After- Writing - Let students tell the story in Vietnamese. - Call on a student to tell in front of the class. 5. Consolidation - Summarize main point 6.
