Procedure: T Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Contents 5 10 10 10 107 - T asks Ss to write the activities on the board from the cues. - T confirms their answers Pre teach vocabulary - T elicits vocabulary by using: . example: a teacher who comes to your house and teach only you. . definition: a house for elderly people who don’t have their children to take care of them. . picture . definition: It’s a large picture which is drawn on the wall by someone. (you are allowed to draw). . definition: a house for homeless people to live. - T uses CCQs for each word. - T checks: Slap the board - T monitors the activity Pre speaking - T sets the scene from the pictures: “What are these pictures about?” - T makes questions to elicit the situation in each picture. - T writes their answers on the board and asks them to compare their ideas with the text. - T confirms their ideas. While speaking - T shows the photos about community service in Viet Nam and asks Ss to match with the activities. - T confirms their answers. - T gives ICQs for this activity. - T monitors the activity. Post speaking -T asks Ss to work in pairs to choose the three activities that they want to try and explain why? - T monitors the activity. - Ss work in groups to write the activities on the board. - Ss listen, repeat and copy. - Ss work in groups. - Ss answer “Ways to change the world” - Ss look at the pictures and answer the questions. - Ss compare their ideas with the text. - Ss work in pairs to match the photos with the activities. Then give the answers. - Ss work in group to discuss the benefits of each activity. Then share their ideas with the class. - Ss work in pairs to choose and discuss the three activities they want to try.
