- Ask the students some questions: (Let the students list the activities for the teenagers.
+ Can you tell about most popular after school activities in Viet Nam.
- Read the text and ask the student to find out new words.
- Ask the students to read aloud all new words.
+Explain the theory of Guide, Scout carefully:
( Scout also bout scout is a member of the Scout or Boy Scouts of America) The organization help the member how to live well and develop their good character.
(Guide also girls guide( BE/girl scout (AE) is a member of the Girl Guide Association do the same task. )
- Ask them to remember the meaning and make example.
- Call some students read the text aloud.
-Review the present simple tense in brief.
Practice
-Introduce the content of the text to the students.(Text is about most popular activities in USA.)
-Let the students read the activities that western teenagers like to do.
-Read the text again then list names of the associations.( if any)
-Ask the students some questions below to connect the situation to Vietnam.
+Which of the activities in the lists for USA ten do you think are also popular among Vietnamese teenagers?
+Are there many kinds of entertainment for teenagers in Viet Nam?
What are they?
+What organizations are there for teenagers in Vietnam?
+Are they similar to Scout and Guides in Western countries?
- Ask the students to work in group of four.
+Ask the students to make a list of your group’s favorite leisure activities.
-Call some groups read out.
-Others give ideas.
