Ss make a dialogue , then compare with the partners. The student who is the quickest and has the correct answer is the winner . T gets two Ss to play out the dialogue, then change the roles and use the real names. T remarks. 1/ Presentation: (B1) - Pre-teach vocab: T elicits from Ss (s = situation / p = picture / e = example ) morning (s) afternoon (s /p) evening (s) night(s) we children (e) - Setting the scene: "Look at the pictures and make greetings and farewells." - Target item: T presents the pictures, Ss listen then repeat. + Model sentences: + Good morning. / Good afternoon. / Good evening. + Good night. / Goodbye. / Bye. B/ Objective : By the end of the lesson, Ss’ll be able to count numbers from 1 to 20 C/ Language contents : - Cardinal numbers from 1 to 20 D/ Teaching aids : Textbook, cards E/ Procedure : @ Checking up : T calls some pairs of Ss to stand in front of the class and do the task: “Make ceremonial greetings and farewells to each other.” - Making greetings. - Making farewells. ( More: greet, introduce yourself, ask how your friend…) 1/ Presentation: -T elicits the numbers from Ss: - Cardinal numbers: 1: one 2.: two 3: three 4: four 5: five 6: six 7: seven 8: eight 9: night 10: ten 11: eleven 12: twelve 13: thirteen 14: fourteen 15: fifteen 16: sixteen 17: seventeen 18: eighteen 19: nineteen 20: twenty * Note: 0: zero / oh 7 1 15 13 3 18 12 20 4 14 9 - Listen and repeat 2/ Practice:( cards ) - Practising counting: T gets Ss to count numbers from 1 to 20 - Slap the board : ( cards ) T calls out English words .
