Objectives.
-At the end of the lesson, students can :
+Understand the comparative form of adjectives and more than one syllable. (general rule)
+Reading a text about a familiar of the capital.
+Can be introduced to a city (or country) that they love.
-Contents.
+Vocabulary: 
population, how to read numbers: 13.6 million, 6.3 million, 2.6 million
+Grammar: (+er) : small à smaller à the smallest (small, tall, cold)
	(Double last letter + er) big à bigger à the biggest
Tokyo is smaller than Mexico City.
Mexico City is the biggest city in the world.

-Ask the students some questions.

-Introduce the topic of the lesson to the students.

*Introduce the new words to the students.
-Read the words, then students repeat in chorus.
-Explain the meaning to the students.
-Write on the notice books.
*Guide the students study the comparative.
-Explain the meaning and how to use the structures.
-Give some examples.
Practice
1.- Guide the students look at the pictures then talk about the difference between them.
-Help them to understand the comparative between three level.
-Let the students listen to the Audio-CD.
-Ask the students to read the text.
2.-Ask the students to tell the population of some cities that they know.
-Let the students listen to the Audio-CD then read the text in order to understand the content.
-Ask the students to look at the pictures in B1. Then compare the differences among those three ones & to recognize the comparative and the superlative.
- Help the students to review the rules how to form comparative and superlative forms for short adjectives.
-Introduce the questions with Which.( Pay their attention to pronunciation, tone,….)
-Let the students answer the questions in pair, in turns.

-Short adj: an adj ending in Y and an adj has one syllabus.
-Double the last consonant with short adjs ending in on consonant and before it is a vowel.

2. Listen and read. Then answer the questions.

The capital city has a population of 2.6 million.
Ho Chi Minh city is bigger than the capital.
It has a population of 3.5 million.
