UNIT 4: BIG OR SMALL?
Section C: GETTING READY FOR SCHOOL
Lesson 4: C 1 – 2 - 3
OBJECTIVES: 
1. Educational aim: Help Ss know to talk about habitual actions .
2. Teaching aim: By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to use simple present tense with the subject “ I / He / She ” to talk about habitual actions.
II. PREPARATIONS: book, cassette player and tape
III. PROCEDURES:

1. Warm - up: (5’)
- Ask Ss some questions about their class.
+ Which class are you in?
+ Where is your classroom?
+ How many students are there in your class?
2. Presentation: (13’)
- Set the scene: Lan is talking to Nam about her classmate.
 - Introduce some new word.
 1. (to) get up (v)
 2. (to) get dressed (v)
 3. (to) brush ….. teeth (v)
 4. (to) wash …… face (v)
 5. (to) have/ has breakfast (v)
 6. (to) go to school (v)
- Ask Ss to practice the new word.
- Introduce new structures, using pictures.
Present simple tense:
 S + V (s, es)
V : end with: s, x, o, sh, ch thêm “es” (misses , fixes, goes, washes, brushes,…) 
* I, We, You, They, plural noun + V –inf
* He, She, It, singular noun + V (s, es)
- Ask Ss some questions: 
 + What does Nam ask Lan?
 + How does Lan answer? 
3. Practice: (15’)
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures.
- Say the model sentences:
+ What does he do every morning? - He gets up. 
+ What do you do every morning? - I get up.
- Have Ss practice in pairs. 
- Call some pairs to practice in front of class.
4. Production: (10’)
- Ask Ss to play “ Chain Game”
Divide Ss into groups of four or five.
Do the model to start: He gets up. ……
 + get up. 
 + go to school. 
 + have breakfast. 
 + get dressed. 
 + brush his teeth.
5. Homework: (2’)
- Ask Ss to learn by heart vocabulary, review numbers and prepare next lesson Unit 5: C 4 – 5 – 6 – 7/ p. 50
- Individual work.
- Listen to the teacher.
- Repeat after the teacher.
- Listen and write.
- Answer the questions.
- Look at the pictures.
- Listen.
- Practice in pairs.
- Practice.
