(Limited vocabulary in pictures - textbooks). For the better students, teachers can ask them about things in the living room. -Contents +Vocabulary: Objects in the room - in the singular and plural. (Teachers do not need to change the rules if plural - students just listen and repeat - eg a chair - chairs). - Bachelor of these, these, those, they + Grammar: - What's this/ that? - It's an (a) ___ (review) - What are these/ those? - They're ___ -Skill: Listen, speak. Teaching aids Audio-CD, CD-Player Teaching procedures Activities Content Organization.(2’) Who is absence today? What is the weather like? Checking the old lesson.(3’) -Ask the students to ask/answer about the objects in class. -Introduce the topic of the lesson to the students. ( Today we will study about the things in the living room such as radio, TV…) New lesson.(35’) Pre-listening -Introduces the things using real objects and pictures. +Teacher gives vocabulary. +Students write them into the notebook +Teacher reads. +Students listen and repeat ( choral, individual). While-listening 1.-Let the students listen to the Audio-CD while looking at the two first pictures then repeat: This is my house. This is the living room. +Listen then repeat in chorus. +Look at the rest pictures, point at them then read a loud the word. (Pay their attentions to the pronunciation of An before a word beginning with a vowel: an armchair.) Students practice in pairs using the pictures and real things (close pairs and open pairs). +Note: Sound of /tƒ/ in Chair and /ƒ/ in bookshelf. +Teacher read each word, sentence according to the pictures using the structures: This is…… that is…. And the students repeat. -Let the students listen to the Audio-CD. -Point at picture then students read aloud its name. 2. Display the large picture including the objects in the part 1. -Point at the picture, using This is…./That is…. so as to introduce the objects. Guide the students use the sentences to introduce the object using : What are these/those? They are……. -Hep the students to practice saying in pairs. -Call some students to check. -Write on the notice-books. Post-listening. Correct their pronunciation and spelling. Feed back.(3’) Retell the main grammatical issue. Ask students to give examples. Homework.(2’) Guide the students do the works.
