 Unit 2: I always get up early. 
 How about you?
 Lesson 2 (1 - 3)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ ask and answer questions about frequency.
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
* Language focus:
- Sentence Patterns: - How often ...? 
 + I .. every day, 
- Vocabulary: every day, once/ twice a week/ month
* Teaching aids:
student’s and teacher’s book, cards, cassette, computer (overhead)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Sing the song: This is the way we do things
II. New lesson:
1. Vocabulary:
	once	(visual)
	week	 (visual)
	month	(visual)
	partner	 (example)
2. Look, listen and repeat:
- Set the scene:
- Elicit the context of the picture
- Have sts look at the pictures and guess what the story is about
- Check comprehension by pointing at each picture to elicit their answers for:
	+ What’s his name?
	+ Who’s she?
	+ What’s she doing?
- Play CD for sts listen and follow in their books
- Play again – sts repeat
- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.
=> Elicit the modal sentences:
	Nam: How often do you come to the library?
	Linda: Once a week.
3. Point and say:
- Have pupils look at pictures. 
- Run through the phrases and words
- Use flashcards to teach the question and answer in the speech bubbles. Have sts repeat the phrases a few times. 
- Model (a)
	Nam: How often do you study with your partner?
	Mai: I study with my partner every day.
- Give instruction
- Point to each picture and how often they do things to fill the gaps.
- Have sts to repeat the sentences a few times.
- Repeat the procedure with the second picture.
- Ask sts work in pairs.
- Call some pairs practice in front of the class.
- Check sts’ mistake when necessary.
- Make a few questions to check pupils’ comprehension of the language.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their ronunciation.
3. Let’s talk.
- Have stst read aloud 2 questions given
- Tell the class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about frequency
- Run through.
- Give instruction. 
- Model:
	A: What do you do in the morning?
	B: I often go to school.
	A: How often do you go to school?
	B: I go to school every day.
- Give sts 3 mins for sts practice (about themselves)
- Get sts to work in groups of three to interact.
- Call a few pairs to practise in front of the class.
- Check ss’ pronunciation.
III. Reinforcement
- Ask sts to practise expressing the greeting and self- introducing

I. Warm up:
	Play “Pass the ball” game

II. New lesson:
1. Listen and number:
- Have pupils look at the pictures given
- Elicit the activities in the pictues
- Get sts say aloud
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 dialogues and number the pictures in order
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and number 
- Compare the answers with the partners.	
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. 
- T gets the answer:
- Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Answer: 	1- b ; 	2 - c	; 3 – d ; 4 - a
2. Write about your daily routine: 
- Have pupils look at the questions given
- Ask pupils what they do this part
- Tell them that they are going to write the answer base on the questions about daily routine
- Call on a pupil to write on the board and other pupils write in the notebooks in individuals.
- Have pupils discuss their answers in pairs for correction.
- Have pupils comment the answer on the board.
- Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class.
- Have the class chorally read each line.
	* Suggested answer:
	1. I always go to school
	2. I usually play football.
	3. Yes, I do./ No, I don’t.
	4. I watch TV every day.
3. Let’s play: Do the crossword puzzle
- Elicit sts what they have to do?
- Models for sts understand the way to play it
- Ask pupils what they do this part.
- Have pupils look at the activities pictures say out the words/ phrases
- Control sts play the game by wrting on the their boards the words one by one
- Have them raed aloud

 Lesson 3 (1 - 3)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ pronoun two-syllable words with the stress on the first syllables: ‘always, ‘usually, ‘often, and ‘sometimes
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
* Language focus:
- Words: ‘always, ‘usually, ‘often, and ‘sometimes
* Teaching aids:
Pictures, poster, cassette (overhead, computer)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up: 5ms
	Interview
What’s your name?
Where are you from?
What do you do in the morning?
How often do you go to school?
II. New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat:10ms
- Have sts to look at the overhead’s screen, draw their attention to the words 
- Produce the words: ‘always, ‘usually, ‘often, and ‘sometimes with the stress on the first syllable
- Play CD for sts listen
- Have sts repeat the focused on the stress a few times.
- Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.
- Call on someone to pronounce.
- Have the whole class recite the chant to reinforce their pronunciation.
2. Listen and circle a or b. The say the sentences aloud:7ms
- - Have pupils read the sentences and phrases given
- Get sts say aloud
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 dialogues and circle the words given to completet the sentences.
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and circle the correct words. 
- Compare the answers with the partners.	
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. 
- T gets the answer:
- Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Answer: 	1- a ; 2 - b	; 3 – a ; 4 -b
3. Let’s chant :8ms
- Show the chant “What do you do in the morning”
- Have sts run through the sentences
- Ask sts read aloud 
- Check comprehension (What they do, How often?)
- Play the tape a few times.
- Ask sts to read aloud each line in the chant and clap their hands.
- Ask them to listen again and repeat.
- Have sts practice the chant in groups.
- Call each group perform.
- Correct and comment
- Play the tape once to reinforce their pronunciation.
 III. Reinforcement : 5ms 
- In this lesson, sts have learned how to make stress the words with 2 syllables
- Practice chanting.
 Friday, October 16th, 2020
Week :4
Period :12 
 Unit 2: I always get up early. 
 How about you?
 Lesson 3 (4 - 7)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ further practice about asking and answering about address and how a place like.
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss reading and writing and drawing skills
* Language focus:
- Revise from L1 + L2
* Teaching aids:
Pictures, poster, cassette (overhead, computer)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:5ms
Saying the chant “What do you do in the morning?”
II. New lesson:
1. Read and answer:10ms
- Ask sts to open their book on page 17.
- Give instruction.
- Elicit: Who’s this?
	 What’s she doing?
	 What’s she watching?
- Explain the meaning: go jogging, programme
- Ask sts to read the text to get information. 
- Have sts do the task individually
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Ask sts to work in pairs to check the answer 
- Call on some sts to report their answers. 
* Key: 	1. She gets up early and usually go jogging.
	 	2. She usually does her homework. Then she often plays 
	 badmonton and sometimes cook dinner.
	3. She watches for kids (once a week)
	4. She goes shopping twice a week.
2. Write about your day:7ms
- Have sts read the uncompleted sentences given
- Get some sts answer aloud
- Checking understanding how to write
- Have sts write in 7 mins
- Remind sts how to write in correct way
- Get sts swap and read their writing in pairs
- Invite two or three sts to read their answers aloud
- Get sts give feedback
- Check and correct
	* Suggested answer:
	My friend is Hoa. In the morning, I always get up early, have breakfast and go to school. 
	In the afternoon, I usually go to school, go home and watch TV.
	In the evening, I often do my homework and watch TV.
	I play computer games twice a week.
3. Project: 8ms
- Ask ss to stand up, go around to interview their friends about their daily routine
- Model
- Go around and check their work
- Comment 
4. * Reinforcement: Colour the stars :5ms
- Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension
- Invite sts to read statements aloud
- Check their understanding the meaning
- Give them to colour about degree that they got after the Unit 2
- Getting their ideas about difficulties to help
