Tuesday, April 27th 2021 Week: 32 Period :122 Unit 18: What will the weather be like tomorrow? Lesson 3 (1 - 3) A. Aim: - By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: + say questions and answer with the correct intonation. * Skills: - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills * Language focus: What will the weather be like tomorrow ? – It will be . What’s summer like in your country? - * Teaching aids: overhead, computer B. Procedure: I. Warm up: Singing the weather song II. New lesson: 1. Listen and repeat: - Have sts to look at the overhead’s screen, draw their attention to the sentences - Play CD for sts listen - Have sts repeat the focused on the sentence intonation a few times. - Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors. - Call on someone to read aloud. - Give feedback 2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences: - Have pupils look at the questions with pairs of the answers given - Tell sts that they are going to listen and circle answer a or b - Play CD – sts listen and circle - Get sts’ answer - Give feedback * Key: 1. a; 2. b; 3. b; 4 . a - Have sts practice in pairs to ask and answer - Call some pairs say aloud - Give feedback 3. Complete the passage - Show the passage and the 5 words given and elicit the content - Give instruction. - Have sts read the pasage to get information and use the words fill in the gaps - Have sts do the task individually - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary. - Ask sts to work in pairs to check the answer - Call on some sts to report their answers. * Key: 1. south 2. Look, listen and repeat. - Elicit the character - Look at the pictures to identify the characters (Peter and Nam) and the context in the book guess what the story is about and point at each picture to elicit their answers to these questions. - Introduce the dialogue. - Play the recording - Listen follow in their book. - Ss listen and repeat in chorus two times. - Have sts read in group of 3 to act out the dialogue - Elicits the structure - Ss give new structure sentence: Which place would you like to visit, .. or ? Let’s Talk: - Give task - Have sts that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about the places they would like to visit; far or not? How to get there? - Have sts work in groups of 4 - Monitor the activity and offer help, if necessary. - Pupils practise answering the questions with information about themselves. - Correct their pronunciation and mistake III. Reinforcement: - Summary the lesson - Have sts do exercise B in workbook Friday, April 30th 2021 Week: 32 Period :125 Unit 19: Which place would you like to visit? Lesson 1 (4 - 6) A. Aim: - By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to further practice: - Use the words and phrases related to the topics Places to visit and Opinions on places. - Ask and answer questions about which place someone would like to visit. * Skills: - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills * Language focus: - Sentence Patterns: Which place would . like to visit .. or ..? would like to visit .. * Teaching aids: computer (overhead) B. Procedure: I. Warm up: Answer - Which place would you like to visit, .or ..? + I’d like to visit II. New lesson: 1. Listen and circle a or b: - Have pupils read the questions and answers given - Tell sts that they are going to the recording and circle the words to complete the sentences. - Play CD all the way through for them to listen - Play again for them to circle the words - Have sts swap and check their answers before checking as a class. Then ask the class to say the sentences aloud - Give feedback *Key: 1. b 2. a 3. a 2. Read and complete: - Tell sts that they are going to complete the dialogue with the 5 words given. - Give sts few seconds to read the dialogue in silence. - Check comprehension and give feedback. - Give sts time to do the task and go around and offer help if necessary - Get sts to work in pairs. - Get sts to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. - Divide the class into two groups and get them to read aloud the dialogue * Key: 1. somewhere 2. would 3. park 4. museum 5. centre - Have sts read aloud the passage 3.
