 Unit 1: What’s your address?
 Lesson 3 (1 - 3)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ pronoun two-syllable words with the stress on the first syllables.
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
* Language focus:
- Words: busy, crowded, quiet, far, large
* Teaching aids:
Pictures, poster, cassette (overhead, computer)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
	Interview
What’s your name?
Where are you from?
What’s your address?/ Where do you live?
What’s your vilage like?
II. New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat:
- Have sts to open the book page 10, draw their attention to the words 
- Produce the words: ‘city, ‘village, ‘mountains, ‘tower with the stress on the first syllable
- Play CD for sts listen
- Have sts repeat the focused on the stress a few times.
- Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.
- Call on someone to pronounce.
- Have the whole class recite the chant to reinforce their pronunciation.
2. Listen and circle a or b
- - Have pupils read the sentences and phrases given
- Get sts say aloud
- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 3 dialogues and circle the words given to completet the sentences.
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and circle the correct words. 
- Compare the answers with the partners.	
- Play the recording again pupils check their answers. 
- T gets the answer:
- Have pupils act out the dialogues in pairs or groups for correction.
- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.
Answer: 	1- b ; 2 - a	; 3 – a 
3. Let’s chant
- Show the chant “Where do you live”
- Have sts run through the sentences
- Ask sts read aloud 
- Check comprehension (Where, How?)
- Play the tape a few times.
- Ask sts to read aloud each line in the chant and clap their hands.
- Ask them to listen again and repeat.
- Have sts practice the chant in groups.
- Call each group perform.
- Correct and comment
- Play the tape once to reinforce their pronunciation.
 III. Reinforcement 
- In this lesson, sts have learned how to make stress the words with 2 syllables
- Practice chanting.

Period: 6 
 Unit 1: What’s your address?

A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to:

B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Saying the chant “Where do you live?”
II. New lesson:
1. Read and tick Yes (Y) or No (N)
- Ask sts to open their book on page 23.
- Give instruction.
- Ask sts to read the sentences, underline the key words/ phrases before reading the passage to find relevant information. 
- Give an example: 1. parents / grandparents => Tick No
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Ask sts to work in pairs to check the answer 
- Call on some sts to report their answers. 
- Make a few questions to check pupils’ comprehension of the dialogue.
- Have the whole class chorally read each line of the sentences to reinforce their pronunciation.

2. Write about your friends:
- Have sts read the questions given
- Get some sts answer aloud
- Checking understanding how to write
- Have sts write in 7 mins
- Remind sts how to write in correct way
- Get sts swap and read their writing in pairs
- Invite two or three sts to read their answers aloud
- Get sts give feedback
- Check and correct
	* Suggested answer:
	My friend is Nam. He’s from Ha Noi. His address is 74, Hung Vuong street. He lives with his family. He likes living there because it is a busy and beautiful city.
3. Project
- Ask ss to draw a house and practice describing it (5 mins)
- Call ss to show their houses and present their drawing 
- Display their drawings
- Comment 
4. Colour the stars
- Have the class read the statements and check their comprehension
- Invite sts to read statements aloud
- Check their understanding the meaning
- Give them to colour about degree that they got after the Unit 1
- Getting their ideas about difficulties to help

 Unit 2: I always get up early. 
 How about you?
 Lesson 1 (1 - 3)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ use the words and phrases related to the topics Daily routines
	+ ask and answer questions about someone’s daily routines.
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
* Language focus:
- Sentence Patterns: 
 - What do you do .? 
 + I always/ usually/ often/ sometimes ..
- Vocabulary: always, usually, often, sometimes, brush (teeth)
* Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cards, cassette, computer (overhead)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Watching a video
Daily routine
- Get sts retell what he does every morning
- Give feedback
II. New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat:
• Whole class: Have pupils turn their books to Page 12 
- Ask pupils the names of the characters and what they are doing 
-Tell them that they are going to hear Quan and Tom chatting on the internet
- Explain the meaning of the language practised. 
- Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books. 
- Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. Repeat the step a few times. 
- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.
2. Point and say:

- Play the CD twice for sts listen and repeat
- Explain the pattern:

3. Let’s talk:
- Tell class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about someone’s daily routine
- Get sts to work in pairs (or go around) to ask each other’s addresses in 5 mins
- remind them to use the questions and answers in their books
- Monitor and help sts
- Call some groups act out their work
- Give feedback

- Have sts retell the content of the lesson.

	+ ask and answer questions about someone’s daily routines.
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss reading, siinging and listening skills
* Language focus:
- Sentence Patterns: - What do you do .? 
 + I always/ usually/ often/ sometimes ..
- Vocabulary: (riview)
* Teaching aids:
1. Teacher’s: student’s and teacher’s book, cards, cassette, computer (overhead)
B. Procedure:

1. Listen and tick
- Have sts to look at 4 pairs of pictures
- Give the identification of the activities 
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and tick the boxes
- Ask sts to compare the answers with the partner.	
- Play the recording again for sts to check their answers. 
- Announce the answers.
- Ask some questions to ensure sts’ comprehension of the listening text.
*Key: 1.c 2.b	3. b	4.a
2. Read and complete:
- Tell sts that they are going to read ad fill the gaps with the appropriate words.
- Give sts few seconds to read the text in silence.
- Check comprehension and give feedback.
- Give sts time to do the task and go around and offer help if necessary
- Get sts to work in pairs.
- Get sts to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.
- Divide the class into two groups and get them to read aloud each character’s lines respectively.

- Show the song “This is the way we do things”
- Have sts look at the pictures and give some ideas 
- Read the lyrics.

- Play the recording the song all the way through.

- Have sts practice singing and acting in groups 
- Call some groups sing aloud and do actions
