II. New lesson:

1. Listen and completet with one word:

- Have pupils look at the sentences given

- Get sts say aloud

- Elicit sts guess the words for gaps

- Tell the pupils that they are going to listen to 4 dialogues and write one word for one gap.

- Play the recording twice for pupils listen and complete the sentences

- Compare the answers with the partners.

- Play the recording again pupils check their answers.

- T gets the answer:

 Answer: 1- sharp; 2 - wall ; 3 – burn; 4 - arm

- Have pupils read the sentences aloud.

- Ask some questions to ensure pupils’ comprehension of the listening text.

2. Read and complete:

- Tell sts that they are going to read the dialogue and fill the gaps with the 5 words given.

- Give sts few seconds to read the dialogue in silence.

- Check comprehension and give feedback.

- Give sts time to do the task and go around and offer help if necessary

- Get sts to work in pairs.

- Get sts to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.

- Call 4 pairs read aloud the dialogue .

 Lesson 2 (1 - 3)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ ask and answer questions about accident prevention.
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
* Language focus:
- Sentence Patterns: - Why shouldn’t I .?
	 +Because you may  
- Vocabulary: 
* Teaching aids:
cards, picture, cassette/ computer (overhead)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Sing the song: “Don’t do that”
II. New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat:
- Set the scene:
- Elicit the context of the picture
- Have sts look at the pictures and guess what the story is about
- Check comprehension by pointing at each picture to elicit the content for each picture
- Play CD for sts listen and follow in their books
- Play again – sts repeat
- Some Ss role play and the others comment.
- Ask Ss to role play
- Ask Ss to role play before the class.
=> Elicit the model sentences:
	 - Why shouldn’t I .?
	 +Because you may  
2. Point and say:
- Have pupils look at pictures with activities and possible accidents
- Run through the key words
- Model (a)
	A: Why shouldn’t I play with the knife?
	B: Because you may cut yourself. 
- Have sts to repeat the sentences a few times.
- Ask sts work in pairs to practice asking and answering base on the model.
- Call some pairs say aloud in front of the class.
- Check sts’ mistake when necessary.
- Make a few questions to check pupils’ comprehension of the language.
- Have the whole class repeat all the phrases in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation.
3. Let’s talk.
- Have stst read aloud 2 questions given
- Tell the class that they are going to practice further by asking and answering questions about accident prevention
- Run through.
- Give instruction. 
- Model:
	A: What is he doing?
	B: He’s playing with the knife. He shouldn’t do that.
	A: Why shouldn’t he do that?
	B: Because he may cut himself.
- Give sts 5 mins for sts practice 
- Get sts to work in groups of three to interact.
- Call a few pairs to practise in front of the class.
- Check ss’ pronunciation.

	+ say sentences with the correct intonation and chant
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss speaking and listening skills
* Language focus:
* Teaching aids:
Pictures, poster, cassette (overhead, computer)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Network

II. New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat:
- Have sts to look at the overhead’s screen, draw their attention to the sentences 
- Play CD for sts listen
- Have sts repeat the focused on the sentence intonation a few times.
- Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors.
- Call on someone to read aloud.
- Give feedback
2. Listen and circle a or b. Then say the sentences aloud:
- Have pupils look at the sentences and questions given with pairs of words below 
- Tell sts that they are going to listen and circle a or b
- Play CD – sts listen and circle 
- Get sts’ answer
- Give feedback

3. Let’s chant
- Show the chant “Why shouldn’t he do that?”
- Have sts run through the sentences
- Ask sts read aloud 
- Check comprehension (What’s he doing? Why shouldn’t he .?)
- Play the tape a few times.
- Ask sts to read aloud each line in the chant and clap their hands.
- Ask them to listen again and repeat.
- Have sts practice the chant in groups.
- Call each group perform.
- Correct and comment
- Play the tape once to reinforce their pronunciation.
III. Reinforcement 
- In this lesson, sts have learned how to say the sentences intonation in right way
- Practice chanting.
- Do ex D in WB.

 Period: 82

 Lesson 3 (4 - 7)
A. Aim:
- By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: 
	+ further practice about how to avoid home accidents
* Skills: 
- Develop Ss reading and writing skills
* Language focus:
- Revise from L1 + L2
* Teaching aids:
Pictures, poster, cassette (overhead, computer)
B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Reading the chant “Why shouldn’t he do that?”
II. New lesson:
1. Read and do the task:
- Show the passage and elicit the content
- Give instruction.
- Ask sts to read the text to get information 
a. Circle the best title:
 - Have sts read the text to get information and the 4 titles given for the text
 - Have sts do the task individually to choose the best title
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Ask sts to work in pairs to check the answer 
- Call on some sts to report their answers.

- Get stst read the sentences given, compare with the content of the text to decide which is T and which is F.
