B. Procedure:
I. Warm up:
Saying the chant “At the circus”
Answer: What did you see at the zoo?
What did the animals do?
II. New lesson:
1. Read and match:
- Ask sts to look at the letter from Phong to Tuan
- Give instruction.
- Explain the meaning: First, Then, Next, In the end
- Ask sts to read the letter.
- Have sts look and read two columns given below
- Explain what they have to do: read the letter, get information and match the words with phrases correctly
- Have sts do the task in pairs
- Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary.
- Ask sts to work in pairs to check the answer
- Call on some sts to report their answers.

2. Write about your last visit to the zoo:
- Have sts read the phrases and words that start each sentence given
- Checking understanding how to complete the sentences
- Give sts some questions, ask them to answer:
+ Who did you go to the zoo with?

+ What did you see?
+ What did they do?
+ How do you think about the zoo animals?
- Have sts work in pairs to ask and answer the questions given
- Have sts write in 7 mins individually
- Remind sts how to write in correct way
- Go around to help
- Get sts swap and read their writing in pairs
- Invite two or three sts to read their answers aloud

Aim: - By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to practice: + ask and answer questions about what and how animals did in the zoo. * Skills: - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills * Language focus: - Sentence Patterns: - What did the do when you were there? + They * Teaching aids: (overhead, computer) B. Procedure: I. Warm up: Miming Explain how the game is played Model (actions of animals) II. New lesson: 1. Listen and circle: - Have sts to look at 3 questions given with each pair of answers given - Give instruction. - Play the recording twice for pupils listen and circle the correct answers - Ask sts to compare the answers with the partner. - Play the recording again for sts to check their answers. - Announce the answers. - Ask some questions to ensure sts’ comprehension of the listening text. *Key: 1.a 2.b 3. b 2. Write about your visit to the zoo: - Have pupils look at 3 questions given - Ask pupils what they do this part - Tell them that they are going to write the answer base on the questions about where they were, what they saw and What animals did - Call on a pupil to write on the board and other pupils write in the notebooks in individuals. - Have pupils discuss their answers in pairs for correction. - Have pupils comment the answer on the board. - Call some pupils read aloud their work in front of the class. - Have the class chorally read each line. * Suggested answer: 1. Aim: - By the end of the lesson Ps will be able to: + say questions and answers with the correct sentences stress. + practice chanting * Skills - Develop Ss speaking and listening skills * Teaching aids: overhead, computer B. Procedure: I. Warm up: Read the sentences with correct sentence stress ‘What are you ‘reading? I’m ‘reading the ‘Fox and the ‘Crow. II. New lesson: 1. Listen and repeat: - Have sts to look at the overhead’s screen, draw their attention to the sentences stress - Play CD for sts listen - Have sts repeat the focused on the sentence stress a few times. - Play the recording twice and ask Ss to repeat - Monitor the activity and offer help when necessary/ correct typical pronunciation errors. - Call on someone to read aloud. - give feedback 2. Listen and underline the stressed words. Then say the sentences aloud: - Have pupils look at sentences given - Tell sts that they are going to listen and underline the stressed words - Play CD – sts listen and underline - Get sts’ answer - Give feedback * Key: 1. What did you see at the zoo? I saw lots of animals. 2. What did the peacocks do when you were there? They moved beautifully. 3. Let’s chant - Show the chant “At the circus” - Have sts run through the sentences - Ask sts read aloud - Check comprehension (What animals? What they did?) - Play the tape a few times. - Ask sts to read aloud each line in the chant and clap their hands. - Ask them to listen again and repeat. - Have sts practice the chant in groups. - Call each group perform. - Correct and comment - Play the tape once to reinforce their pronunciation. Procedure: I. Warm up: Network Teachers’ day Children’s day Days Independence Day women’s day - Get sts tell the names of days for celebrations they know - Give feedback and add more II. New lesson: 1. Look, listen and repeat: - Have pupils look at the screen the dialogue between Mai and Tony - Ask pupils the names of the characters and what they are doing -Tell them that they are going to hear Mai and Tony talking about a sports day - Explain the meaning of the language practised. - Play the recording all the way through for pupils to listen, and point to the appropriate line in their books. - Play the recording again for pupils to repeat the lines in the speech bubbles. Repeat the step a few times. - Some Ss role play and the others comment. - Ask Ss to role play - Ask Ss to role play before the class. - Elicit the model sentences: When will Sports Day be?
