I .Warm-up :

Game: Tic tac toe (using some new words from the last lesson.)

- Lead in the new lesson.

II. New lesson

1. Listen and write.

- Let sts guess what are they going to do.

- Give instruction.

- Play the recording all the way through for sts to listen.

- Replay for sts to listen and write.

- Play once more times for sts to check their answers.

- Ask sts to compare with their partners.

- Call on some sts to report.

- Give feedback by asking some questions.

- Ask sts to look at the pics and tell what are they going to do.

I. Warm up: 
- Ask sts to recite the chant: I’d like to invite you to my party
- Reinforce sts’ pronunciation.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Read and complete.
- Run through.
- Ask sts to tell what are you going to do.
- Have sts to read through the text, then choose T/ F individually.
- Set the time for sts and monitor the activity.
- Have sts to compare with their partners.
- Give feedback.
- Ask some questions to make sure sts can understand the text.

- A monkey -> monkeys	(n): con khỉ
- An elephant -> elephants	(n): con voi
* Checking vocabulary: Slap the board
2. Look, listen and repeat.
- Run through and set the sense.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording all the way through.
- Replay the recording for sts listen and repeat.
- Divide class into 4 groups to read the dialogue and ask them to play roles.
- Ask sts to do further practice in groups of 4.
- Check to make sure that sts can repeat and understand the dialogues.

- Use handmade puppets to teach: What animal do you want to see?

- Model the structure: T-sts; sts-T; S1-S2 
- Ask sts to look at the pictures a, b, c and d.

- Develop speaking and listening skill. 
B. Language focus: 
- Phonics: crocodile, ‘elephant, ‘wonderful, ‘beautiful.
C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of greeting.
D. Procedure:
I. Warm up: 
- Review the two - sylable words with the stress on the second syllable: re’peat, en’joy, in’vite,com’plete.
- Comment.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and repeat
- Have sts to concerntrate on the words and their stresses: ‘crocodile, ‘elephant, ‘wonderful, ‘beautiful.(Tell the meanings of them for sts to take notes)
- Pronounce the focused sounds a few times as a model.
- Play the recording twice for sts to listen and repeat.
- Ask sts to read the sentences, while the rest of the class claps at the stressed syllables of the target words to reinforce their pronunciation.
- Let sts listen to the CD again then introduce about the stressed syllables.
- Expansion with some examples: ‘animal, ‘bakery, ‘pharmacy
2. Listen and circle. Then say sentences aloud. 
- Ask sts to discuss what they are going to do.
- Play the recording for sts to listen.
- Replay for sts to listen and circle the best answers.
- Play the recording again for sts to check their answer.
- Ask sts to compare with their partner.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.
