Lesson 3: Part 1- 3

A. Object: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:

- Pronounce two sylable words with the stress on the second syllable: re’peat, en’joy, in’vite,com’plete.

- Develop speaking and listening skill.

B. Language focus:

- Phonics: re’peat, en’joy, in’vite,com’plete.

C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of greeting.

D. Procedure:

I. Warm up:

- Review the syllable with some words: ba/ke/ry, phar/ma/cy, me/di/cine .

- Comment.

- Lead in the new lesson.

II. New lesson.

1. Listen and repeat

- Have sts to concerntrate on the words and their stresses: re’peat, en’joy, in’vite,com’plete.(Tell the meanings of them for sts to take notes)

- Pronounce the focused sounds a few times as a model.

- Play the recording twice for sts to listen and repeat.

- Ask sts to read the sentences, while the rest of the class claps at the stressed syllables of the target words to reinforce their pronunciation.

- Let sts listen to the CD again then introduce about the stressed syllables.

- Give more examples of the sylable words with the stress on the second syllable: be'gin, be'come, for'get, re'lax, de'ny

2. Listen and circle. Then say sentences aloud.

- Ask and answer questions about phone numbers.

D. Procedures:
I .Warm-up.
* Chatting: Ask sts to ask and answer questions about their phone numbers.
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and tick:
- Run through and set the scene.
- Ask sts to look at the pictures and guess what are the characters saying.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording for sts to listen through.
- Play the recording again for sts to listen and tick the correct pictures.
- Replay for sts to check their answers.
- Ask sts to trade the answer.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.

2. Look and write.
- Have sts look at the picures on page 53.
- Ask sts what they have to do in this task.
- Ask them to discuss and complete the blanks.
- Call someone to write on the board.
- Check and correct mistakes.

3. Let’s sing.
- Introduce the song: What’s your phone numbers?.
- Read the lyrics.

- Have sts to repeat each line of the lyrics a few times.
- Have sts to sing along.
- Call a few sts to sing.
III. Reinforcement: 
- Ask sts to practise the song in pairs.

- Vocabulary: go for a walk, go skating, go fishing, go for a picnic.
- Sentence pattern: Would you like to go for a picnic?

C. Resources: Book, CD-player.

D. Procedure:
I. Warm up. 
- Divide the class into groups of 4, 5.
- Deliver the hangouts.
- Ask sts to listen the song twice 
then fill the numbers in the blanks in groups.
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Ask sts to look at the pictures then run through and set the scene.
- Give instruction.
- Open the cassette all the way through.
- Ask sts to listen again and repeat the dialogue.
- Divide the class into 4 groups and ask them to play a role.
- Have sts to do further practice in pairs.
- Give feedback.
- Provide some new words for sts to make a sense of the dialogue: speak, go for a picnic.
- Elicit the sentence pattern from sts: Would you like to go for a picnic?
	I’d love to./ Sorry, I can’t.
- Give examples.
2. Practice
- Ask sts to turn to part 2 and look at the pictures.
- Run through then give instruction.
- Provide some words help sts to do the task: go fishing, go skating, go for a walk.
- Make model the pattern: T – St; St – T; S1 – S2.
- Let sts practise in pairs with the given information, then practise freely themselves
- Move around to offer help.
- Call on some pairs to report.
- Comment.

Lesson 2: Part 4 - 6
A. Object: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Use the words and phrases related to the topic outdoor activities.
- Ask and answer questions about phone numbers.
B. Language focus:
- Vocabulary: go for a walk, go skating, go fishing, go for a picnic.
- Sentence pattern: Would you like to go for a picnic?
	I’d love to./ Sorry, I can’t.
C. Resources: Book, CD-player.
D. Procedure:
I. Warm up: 
* Game: find the phone numbers.
- Prepare 30 small pieces of paper. On each of them, write a number from 0 to 9 so that there are in total three instances of each number. Put the pices of paper in a box.
- Ask 2 pairs of sts to come out and stand next to the box. 
- Say a phone number. Thepair that quicker to find the correct numbers from the box and put the in the correct order gets a point and continues to play the game with another pairs. Which pair has more points will be the winner.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.

- Let sts guess what are they going to do.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording all the way through for sts to listen.
- Replay for sts to listen and circle.
- Play once more times for sts to check their answers.
- Ask sts to compare with their partners.
- Call on some sts to report.
