- Pronounce the sound of the letters: fl, pl in the words: flying, playing

- Develop speaking and listening skill.

B. Language focus:

- Phonics: flying, playing

C. Resources: Book, CD-player.

D. Procedure:

I. Warm up:

- Ask sts to recite the chant: Flying a little kite.

- Reinforce sts’ pronunciation.

- Lead in the new lesson.

II. New lesson.

Lesson 2: Part 4, 5, 6
A. Object: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Use the words and phrases related to the topic My hobby.
- Ask and answer questions about what someone’s hobby.
B. Language focus:
- Vocabulary: taking photos, flying kites.
- Sentence patterns: What’s your hobby?
	I like + V- ing + (noun)
C. Resources: Book, CD-player.
D. Procedure:
I. Warm up: 
- Ask sts to sing the song “ I like doing things”
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and number
- Let sts guess what are they going to do.
- Give instruction.
- Ask them to elicit the pictures.
- Play the recording all the way through for sts to listen.
- Replay for sts to listen and number.
- Play once more times for sts to check their answers.
- Ask sts to compare with their partners.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.

2. Look and write
- Ask sts to look at the pics and tell what are they going to do.
- Remind sts: like + V-ing.
- Allow sts time to do the task independently.
- Go around to offer help if necessary.
- Correct, remark and give keys.

III. Reinforcement: 
Game: What’s your hobby?
- Instruct the game (the same to the game: whisper).
- Let sts play the game.
- Give feedback.

*Game: Tic tac toe
- Have sts split into 2 teams to play the game.
+ Each square is equivalent with a question which they learnt 
from the last periods.
- Find the winner.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and repeat
- Have sts to concerntrate on: fl, pl in the words: flying, playing.
- Pronounce the focused sounds a few times as a model.
- Play the recording twice for sts to listen and repeat.
- Ask sts to repeat and others give feedback.
- Let sts listen to the CD again then tell how to pronounce the sound of the letters: fl, pl in the words: flying, playing.
- Ask them to compare the sound of these wordswith Vietnamese.
- Give feedback.
2. Listen and circle. Then say aloud. 
- Ask sts to discuss what they are going to do.
- Play the recording for sts to listen.
- Replay for sts to listen and circle the best answers.
- Play the recording again for sts to check their answer.
- Ask sts to compare with their partner.
- Call on some sts to report.
- Give feedback.

- Run through the email.
- Ask sts to tell what are you going to do.
- Have sts to read through the card, then write the right answer individually in the blanks.
- Set the time for sts and monitor the activity.
- Have sts to compare with their partners.
- Check and remark.

- Ask sts open their book on page 51
- Give instruction.
- Ask sts to write about the school by themselves.

III. Reinforcement
* Project.
- Give instruction.
- Set the time for sts to interview one of their friends and write the information on the card.(encourage them to decorate the cards.)
- Observe and help sts if necessary.
- Ask sts to swap their cards.

- Give feedback.

Unit 8: What subjects do you have today?
Lesson 1: Part 1, 2
A. Aim: By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Ask and answer questions about school subjects.
- Develop listening and speaking skills.
B. Language focus: 
- Vocabulary: Maths, Science, IT, Vietnamese, Art, Music
- Sentence pattern: What subjects do you have today?
	I have Maths and Art.
C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of students
D. Procedure:
I. Warm up: 
* Kim’s game (Using new words from the last period)
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson
1. Look, listen and repeat:
 - Run through and set the scene.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording all the way through.
- Replay the recording for sts listen and repeat.
- Divide class into 2 groups to play roles and ask them to take turns.
- Ask sts to do further practice in small groups.
- Check to make sure that sts can repeat and understand the dialogues (Providing some words for sts: Vietnamese, Maths, English)
 2. Point and say.
- Tell sts that they are going to pratise asking and answering question about dates, using “What subjects do you have today? I have Maths and Art.” 
- Have them to look at pictures to understand how the language is used.
- In order for sts to say the subjects: Maths, Science, IT, Vietnamese, Art, Music 
- Point to picture a and have sts repeat the date under the picture.
- Elicit the sentence pattern from sts: “What subjects do you have today? I have Maths and Art.”
- Make model with sts.
- Ask sts to work in pairs with the pictures then practise freely.
- Move around to offer help.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task.
- Give feedback.
III. Reinforcement:
- Review the lesson.

- Ask sts to do exercises in their workbook.
