- Use the words and phrases related to the topic My hobby.

- Ask and answer questions about what someone likes doing.

B. Language focus:

- Vocabulary: swimming, cooking, collecting stamps .

- Sentence patterns: What do you like doing?

 I like + V- ing + (noun)

C. Resources: Book, CD-player.

D. Procedures:

I .Warm-up.

* Chatting: Ask sts to ask and answer questions about their hobbies.

- Give feedback.

- Lead in the new lesson.

II. New lesson.

1. Listen and tick:

- Run through and set the scene.

- Ask sts to look at the pictures and guess what are they saying.

- Give instruction.

- Play the recording for sts to listen through.

- Play the recording again for sts to listen and tick the correct pictures.

- Replay for sts to check their answers.

- Ask sts to trade the answer.

- Call on some sts to report.

- Give feedback.

A.Object : By the end of the lesson, sts will be able to:
- Pronounce the sound of the letters: sch, sk, str in the words: school, skipping, street
- Develop reading and writing skill. 
B. Language focus: 
- Phonics: school, skipping, street 
C. Resources: handmade puppets, robot-teacher, photographs of greeting.
D. Procedure:
I. Warm up: 
- Ask sts to recite the chant: School, school, school.
- Reinforce sts’ pronunciation.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Read and complete.
- Run through.
- Ask sts to tell what are you going to do.
- Have sts to read through the card, then write the right answer individually in the blanks.
- Set the time for sts and monitor the activity.
- Have sts to compare with their partners.
- Check and remark.

2. Write about your school.
- Ask sts open their book on page 45.

I .Warm-up :
* Game: Hang – man 	H O B B Y
- Give feedback.
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson
1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Run through and set the sense.
- Give instruction.
- Play the recording all the way through.
- Replay the recording for sts listen and repeat.
- Divide class into 4 groups to read the dialogue and ask them to play roles.
- Ask sts to do further practice in groups of 4.
- Check to make sure that sts can repeat and understand the dialogues(provide some words: welcome, a lot of )
 2. Point and say
- Ask sts to look at the pictures a, b, c and d.
- Run through some words: swimming, cooking, colecting stamps, playing chess.
- Use handmade puppets to teach: What do you like doing?
	I like + V- ing + (noun)
- Model the structure: T-sts; sts-T; S1-S2 
- Have sts to look at the pictures and do the task in pairs then practise freely.
- Move around to offer help.
- Call on some pairs to perform the task.
III. Reinforcement:
- Call sts to tell about their hobbies with their friends.
- Comment.

- Use the words and phrases related to the topic My hobby.
- Ask and answer questions about what someone’s hobby.
B. Language focus:
- Vocabulary: taking photos, flying kites.
- Sentence patterns: What’s your hobby?
	I like + V- ing + (noun)
C. Resources: Book, CD-player.
D. Procedure:
I. Warm up. 
Game: Shark – attack H O B B Y
- Lead in the new lesson.
II. New lesson.
1. Look, listen and repeat
- Ask sts to look at the pictures then run through and set the scene.
- Give instruction.
- Open the cassette all the way through.
- Ask sts to listen again and repeat the dialogue.
- Divide the class into 4 groups and ask them to play a role.
- Have sts to do further practice in pairs.
- Give feedback.
- Provide some new words for sts to make a sense of the dialogue: help, visit.
- Elicit the sentence pattern from sts: What’s your hobby?
	I like + V- ing + (noun)
- Give examples.
2. Practice
- Ask sts to turn to part 2 and look at the pictures.
- Run through then give instruction.
- Provide some words help sts to do the task: taking photos, flying kites.
- Make model the pattern: T – St; St – T; S1 – S2.
- Let sts practise in pairs with the given information, then practise freely themselves
- Move around to offer help.
- Call on some pairs to report.
- Comment.
