A. Objectives: By the end of the period, Ps can be practised more in asking and answering about location of pets through listening and writing skills

Tasks: Listen and number, Read and write and Let’s sing.

C. Procedures :

I.Warm up: Slap the board

II.New lesson:

1. Listen and number.

2. How many pictures are there? (four)

- Tell Ps that they are going to listen and number the correct boxes. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures. Check understanding and give feedback.

- Play the recording three times for Ps to listen, do the task and check their answers.

- Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.

 Unit 16: Do you have any pets?
 Lesson 2: 1, 2, 3.
A.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to ask and answer about locations of pets, using Where are the +( word for pets)? 
Skills : Listening and talking.
Task: Look, listen and repeat; point and say; Let’s talk
B. New language:
Vocabulary: flower pot, fish tank.
Sentence patterns: Where are my cats?
 They’re under the table..
C. Procedures:
I. Warm up: 
Sing the song “ The poster and the ball” in chorus – individual.
T leads to the new lesson by checking Ps’ understanding of asking and aswering about the position in the previous lesson.
To ask for position, What question word do we use? – Where. 
To ask where the poster is, how do you say?- Where’s the poster?
T puts the poster on the table and elicit PS’ answers. It’s on the desk.
T write the question and the answer on the board, pointing to the word “ poster” and ask” : single or plural? – single. 
Is there “S” after it? What about “be”? – is.
And in the answer, what is “the poster” replaced by? – It.
- Tell Ps that they are going to practise asking and answering the questions about locations of things in the room, using Where are+ plural noun?- They’re +prep+ the N.
II.New lesson:
1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the first picture .
Who’re they? Nam and his mother. Can you guess
What Nam is doing? looking for his dog.
What does he say? 
Where are my cats, Mum?
 Does his mother know where it is? 
What does she answer? Under the table.
- Ask Ps to repeat the text a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture.
- Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the charaters speaking.
- Play the recording for Ps to listen and say along line by line.
Sentence patterns:
 Where are my cats?
 They’re under the table..
2. Point and say. 
- Tell Ps that they are going to practise asking and answering the questions about locationsof things in the room, using Where are+ plural noun?- They’re +prep+ the N.
- Point to each picture and elicit the meaning of new words.
Flower pot: bình hoa
Fish tank: bể cá
Have Ps to listen and repeat each of the words a few times. 
- Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the first picture and read the text. Point to picture a and prompt Ps to say the question and answer. Put the question and answer on the board and have Ps repeat each of them a few times. Repeat the procedure with the rest. 
Example: 
 Picture a: Where are the cats? 
 They’re next to the flower pot. 
- Have Ps repeat the example a few times.
- Do choral and individual repetition, using the pictures in the book.
- Get Ps to practise in pairs. Check as a class.
Note: Where are . Falling tone in question and answer.
3. Let’s talk. 
- Tell Ps that they are going to practise more with their friends. Give a few seconds for Ps to look at the picture and read the text. Check their understanding and give feedback. Point to a room and elicit the word filling the gap. Put the question and the answer on the board and have a pair act out the dialogue as an example before starting the activity. Put the sentence on the board and do choral and individual repetition.
Example: Where is the dog? 
 It’s in front of the fish tank..
- Have Ps work in pairs, Using the picture in the book. Go around to offer help and correct the pronounciation, If necessary.
- Call some pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class.

 Tony: It’s under the table. 
 4. Linda: I have two rabbits?
 Quan: Where are they?
 Linda: They’re in the garden. Come and see them!
- Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.

5. Read and write. 
- Tell Ps that they are going to read the gapped sentences. Check comprehension and give feedback. Do the first question as an example before starting the activity. 
- Give Ps time to do the task.
- Get Ps to swap and check their answers before calling different individuals to read the questions and answers aloud.
- Write the correct answers on the board for Ps to correct other’s answer.

- Call individual Ps to read the sentences aloud.
6. Let’s sing.
- Tell Ps that they are going to sing the song Do you have any pets?
 What is the song talking about? (about pets)
 - Sing each line of the lyrics and have Ps repeat it a few times. When Ps are familiar with the tune, show them how to sing the song and do the actions.
- Get group of Ps to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions.
- Have the whole class sing the song and do the actions to rainforce learning.
D. Homelink. - Write part 5 on your notebooks.

 Lesson 3: 1, 2, 3
A. Objectives: By the end of the period, Ps can pronounce the sound of the leters o in the words dog and o in the word parrot respectively.
Skills: Listening, writing and chanting.
Tasks: Listen and repeat; Listen and write; Let’s chant.
B. New language:

C. Procedures: 
I.Warm up: 
II.New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat: 
. Tell Ps that they are going to practice saying the letters, words and sentences in the book. Put the phonics letters o and o on the board and say them a few times. Ask Ps to listen and repeat. Prompt Ps to say the words dog, parrot and sentences Where is your dog? and My parrot is in the garden. paying attention to the target phonics letters. Do the choral repetition of the words and sentences until Ps feel confident.
2. Listen and write.
- T tells Ps that they are going to do a dictation. Give Ps a few seconds to read the text in silence before starting the dictation.
- Have Ps swap and check their answers before checking as a class.T writes the correct answers on the board for Ps to copy down into their notebooks.
 - Get Ps work in pairs to practice saying the sentences.
Key : 1. parrot 2. dog

 1. Peter has a parrot.

3. Let’s chant.
- Tell Ps that they are going to say the Do you have any cats? chant. Teach the chant.
- Play the recording through for Ps to listen.
- Read each line of the chant and have Ps repeat it a few times. Show them how to say the chant and do the actions.
- Ask goups of Ps to sit face to face and practise chanting and doing the actions. Go around to offer help, if necessary.
- Call two groups to the front of the class to chant and do the actions. The rest of the class claps along to the rhythm.

 Unit 16: Do you have any pets?
 Lesson 3: 4, 5, 6
A. Aim: By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to apply learnt sentence stuctures and vocabulary for reading and writing about activities. 
Skills : reading and writing.
Tasks : Read and match; Read and write; Project.
B. Procedures :
I.Warm up: Have Ps to say and act out the Do you have any cats? chant.
II.New lesson:
4. Read and match.
What are they on the left? ( Questions)
What are they on the right? ( Answers) 
.Tell ps that they are going to read all the squestions on the left and pairs them which those on the right by drawing a line between them. Draw Ps’ attention to the pictures and give them a few seconds to read the text in silence. Check comprehension and give feedback. Get Ps to work in pairs.
. Give Ps time to do the matching. T goes around to help
. Ps swap and check their answers before checking as a class.
. Call a few pairs to read the dialogues.

5. Read and write. 
- Tell Ps that they are going to read the text and complete the coversation about Mai’s pets. Ask Ps to look at the picture and read the text in silence for a few seconds. Check comprehension and give feedback.
- Role-play the dialogue with a few pupils.
- Give time for Ps to do the task. Go around to help, if necessary.
- Tell Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class.
- Call a few Ps to write their answers on the board. Correct their spelling, grammartical errors, if necessary.
 - Do choral and individual repetition of the sentences on the board.
6. Project. 
.Tell Ps that they are going to draw and colour a picture of your pets and tell your class about it.
- Get Ps to prepare necessary school things to carry out the project ( colour pencils, craons, paper).
-Give Ps time to do the project in the class. Get Ps to work in groups. Go around to offer help,if necessary.
- If theree isn’t enough time , ask Ps to do the project at home as homework.
-Call a few Ps to the front the class to show their pictures and describe them.

- Write part 5 on your notebooks.
