A. Objectives: By the end of the period, Ps can pronounce the sound of the leters i and o in the words it and orange respectively.

I.Warm up: Play the game Kim’s game. ( colours)
II.New lesson:
1. Listen and repeat:
. Tell Ps that they are going to practice saying the letters, words and sentences in the book. Put the phonics letters i and o on the board and say them a few times. Ask Ps to listen and repeat. Prompt Ps to say the words it, orange and sentences What colour is it? and It’s orange, paying attention to the target phonics letters. Do the choral repetition of the words and sentences until Ps feel confident.
2. Listen and write.
- T tells Ps that they are going to do a dictation. Give Ps a few seconds to read the text in silence before starting the dictation.
- Have Ps swap and check their answers before checking as a class.T writes the correct answers on the board for Ps to copy down into their notebooks.
- Get Ps work in pairs to practice saying the sentences.

Tasks: Listen and number,Read and match and Let’s sing. B. New language: Vocabulary: bookcase. C. Procedures : I.Warm up : Play the game Bingo.(School things). II.New lesson: 4. Listen and number. - Tell Ps that they are going to listen and number the boxes. Give few seconds for Ps to look at the pictures. Elicit the names of the school things in the pictures. - Play the recording three times for Ps to listen, do the task and check their answers. - Get Ps to swap and check their answers before checking as a class. Audio script: 1. Nam: What colour are your pencil sharpeners Mai: They’re green 2. Mai: What colour is your pencil? Nam: It’s blue. 3. Mai: What colour is your school bag? Nam: It’s black. 4. Nam: What colour are your pens? Mai: They’re orange. Key: 1d, 2b, 3a, 4c. 5. Read and match: . Tell ps that they are going to read all the sentences on the left and pair them with the pictures on the right by drawing a line between them. Draw Ps’ attention to the pictures and give them a few seconds to read the text in silence. Check comprehension and give feedback. Get Ps to work in pairs. . Give Ps time to do the matching. Teach the song. - Sing each line of the lyrics and have Ps repeat it a few times. When Ps are familiar with the tune, show them how to sing the song and do the actions. - Get group of Ps to sit face to face and practise singing and doing the actions. - Have the whole class sing the song and do the actions to rainforce learning. Skills : Listening and talking. Task: Look,listen and repeat; point and say; Let’s talk B. New language: Vocabulary: badminton, football, basketball, table tennis, chess, play, breaktime. Sentence patterns: What do you do at breaktime? I play badminton. C. Procedures: black green Red I. Warm up: Slap the board yellow black brown white II.New lesson: 1. Look, listen and repeat. - Tell Ps that they are going to ask and answer the question about break activities, using What do you do at breaktime? Point to the first picture and elicit the name of the characters, and what they are saying. Have Ps repeat the text a few times. Repeat the procedure with the second picture. - Do choral and individual repetition, pointing to the charaters speaking. - Play the recording for Ps to listen and saying along.
