A.Objectives: By the end of the lesson, Ps will be able to use the words and phrases related to the topic Introduction; greet others and introduce themselves, using Hello/Hi. I'm + (name).

 Skills : Listening and talking.

 Task: Look,listen and repeat; point and say;Let’s talk

B. New language:

Vocabulary: Hello,Hi,I, I’m,you,Nice to meet you.

Sentence patterns: Hello/Hi.I’m+ name.

C. Procedures:

 Warm up:

- Greet the class by saying Hello.Encourage Ps to answer with Hello.Repeat the procedures several times then introduce myself to the class by pointing to myself and say:I’m+ Ms Vinh(my name).Go around the class and say my name to different Ps.Help individuals respond with Hello.I’m + (her/his name).Draw Ps’ attentionto the title of the Unit and check their comprehension.Have them to repeat it once or twice.

B. Content
I . Introduction of the subject
Have ss answer T’s questions:
1. Why do we learn English?
- The importances of English in many fields of ourlives.
2. What do we study in this book?
- Vocabulary
- Grammar/ structures
- 4 skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking
3. How can we learn by heart vocabulary?
- practice writing, doing exercies.
4. How can we practice grammar?/ reading/ listening/ writing/ speaking?
Ss discuss about T’s questions in groups of 4
Ask ss to say out their group’s answers
II. Introduction of the book.
There are three books : student’s book, workbook, practice writing book
There are 4 themes : + Me and my friends +Me and my family
 +Me and my school + Me and the world around
Contains 20 units, 4 review
You also have consolidations and tests
Incons: Look, listen and repeat.
 Point and say.

 Listen and number.
 Listen and repeat.
 Listen and tick.
 Read.
 Let’s write.

C. Procedures:
 Warm up:

1. Look, listen and repeat.
- Tell ps that they are going to practise introducing themselves and responding to the introduction (in Vietnamese).Point to the first and picture and elicit the answers of who the characters are (Who is this?).
Show Ps how to find the aswers by reading the text in the speech bubbles and explain what happen in the first picture: Mai introduces herslf to Nam,and Nam introduces himself to Mai.Have Ps to repeat the text in the speech bubbles a few times
- Repeat the steps with the second picture.
- Do choral and individual repetition,point to the characters speaking.
- Play the recording for Ps tolisten and say along.
2. Point and say.
- Tell Ps they are going to practise saying Hi/Hello.I’m +nameand respond to the greeting
- Point to each character in the picture and elicit her/his name and the words to fill the gaps.Write the whole sentences on the board.
- Have Ps to repeat the sentences a few times.Repaet the steps with the second picture.
 - Do choral and individual repetition, usingthe characters’ names as promts until Ps feel confident to say the sentences without their books.
- Call an open pairto the front of the class to give a model practice fof the class.
- Correct the pronunciation if necessary.Get Ps to work in pairs.Check as a class.
3. Let's talk.
 - Tell ps that they are going to practise more with their friends and point to each charater elicit the name.Ask Ps to guess what the children say.Fill the gaps and write the sentences on the board. Have them to repeat the sentences a few times. Ps work in pairs or group of three to interact.Call a few pairs to act out the greetings and responses in front of the class.Correct the pronunciation if necessary.
D. Homelink : 
- Practice saying Hi/ Hello to your family members or any peson you meet.
Note: Tell Ps to say Hello to their teachers or adults and Hi to their peers.

 Lesson 1 : Sections 4,5,6
A.Objectives: By the end of the period,Ps will be able to improve listening skills,use the vocabulary and structures of greetings that they have learnt in Period 1to fill in the textual prompts; sing the Hello song.
 Skills : Listening and writing.
 Task: Listen and tick; Let’s write and Let’s sing.
B.Procedures:
 Warm up: 
- Sing the Hello song. Get individual or pairs to act out the greetings and responses in front of the class.
4. Listen and tick.
- Tell ps that they are going to listen and tick the correct boxes under the pictures.Show Ps how to carry out the task and tick the box(v) as this is the first time they do this kind of task.Draw their attention to the pictures.Elicit the names of the characters. Have them to repeat it once or twice.
Play the recording three times for Ps to listen,do the task and check their answers.Tell Ps not to worry if they cannot understand every word and that they should focus on the names of the characters while they are listening.
- Get Ps to swap and check their answer before checking as a class.

5. Let’s write:
- Tell ps that they are going to fill the gaps with I’m and Hello.Give Ps a few seconds to read the texts in silence.Check comprehension and give feedback.Elicit the words filling the gaps.Remind Ps to to write the initial lettersof the word at the beginning of each sentence in capital letters.
Allow Ps time to do the task.Go around to offer help if necessary.
- Get Ps to swap and check their answer before writing the correct answerson the board for Ps to copy down into their notebooks.
- Call a few open pairs to read the exchanges aloud .

Note : I’m = I am ( I’m is used in speaking,I am is used in writing)
6. Let’s sing: 
- Tell ps that they are going to sing the Hello song
- Get Ps to read the lyrics or the texts in silence.Check their comprehension. Explain the new words if necessary. Play the recording all the way through 
Have Ps do choral and individual repettion of the song line after line.When they ae familiar with the tune,ask a group of three to the front of the class. Each of them sings Hello.I’m + (name) twice.Then the class sings Nice to meet you twice, waving their hands to the three singers Have the class sing the song again to reinforce learning.
C. Homelink :
 - Practice singing HELLO song.

 Lesson 2 : Sections 1,2,3
A.Objectives: By the end of the period, Ps can greet and respond to greetings, using How are you? And I’m fine,thanks.And you?; say goodbye , using Goodbye/Bye.
 Skills : Listening and talking.
 Task: Look,listen and repeat; point and say;Let’s talk
B. New language:
 Vocabulary: how, fine, thanks/thank you,bye.
 Sentence patterns: How are you?
 I’m fine,thanks/thank you.
C. Procedures : 
 Warm up : 
 - Ps say Hi/ Hello and introduce their names.The class respond by saying 
Hi + (his/her name) and then say goodbye to them.
 - Sing the Hello song.
1. Look,listen and repeat : 
- Tell ps that they are going to practise saying and responding to Hi/ Hello, + (name) and How are you?Check understanding. Elicit the character names in the first picture and explain what they say. Have Ps repeat the language a few times. Repeat the steps with the second picture. Do choral and individual repettion, pointing to the characters speaking. Play the recording for Ps to listen and say along.
Note: Say Goodbye to the adults, Bye to their peers/friends.
2. Point and say. 
- Tell ps that they are going to practise saying How are you?and replying with Fine,thanks/thank you. Draw Ps’ attention to the pictures. Point to each character and elicit her/his name.
- Point to the first picture and elicit the words to fill the gaps. Put the sentences on the board.
- Devide the class into 2 groups to do chral and individual repetittion. Repeat the steps with the second picture. Get Ps to work in pairs. Check as a class.
3. Let’s talk: 
- Tell ps that they are going to practise more with their friends, using their own names. Draw Ps’ attention to the pictures and elicit the language that the characters might use. Elicit the words to fill the gaps. Put the sentences on the board and get Ps to repeat in chorus and individual.
- Get Ps to work in pairs.Go around to offer help if necessary.
- Call a few pairs to act out the dialogue in front of the class.
D. Homelink : 
- Practice saying :
 How are you?
 I’m fine, thanks/thank you 
to your family members or any peson you meet.
