Class
There are 25 students.15 boys and 10 girls. All of them are the age of 8 to 9. All of them had actually studied English at grade 3
Time table fit
The class use Let’s learn English 2 as the course book. At the moment, we are on unit 10 : At the circus (page 94 )

By the end of the lesson Ss will be able to:
Get the vocabulary about name of animals
Use the structure “like” and “don’t like”
Remember the dialogue and make their own dialogue
Anticipated problem
Ss can distract on the lesson
Ss can be embarrassing when speaking in front of the class.

Warming-up
-T asks Ss to rearrange the desks in U shape to make a space in the middle of class
- T asks Ss to stand in a circle
- T asks: “imagine that you are in a circus, there are some animals. Look at my action and guess what animals they are?”
- T acts the movement and makes sounds of monkey, bear, dove, cat and kangaroo.
- T asks Ss to guess (who know the answer, raise your hand)
- 
- Ss answer in English, if they cannot, they can answer the name of animals in Vietnamese and then teacher will help them to know how the English name of that animal is pronounced. 
-T shows the picture after each question and then sticks on the board
- T gives gift to the S who has correct answer and requires class to congratulate them ( making firework or clapping hands)
-T divides the Ss into 3 groups by counting 1, 2, 3-1, 2, 3-1, 2, 3.
-Ss have the same number belonging to the same group
-T asks each group to go to their seat which were arranged
- To motivate studying atmosphere
- To attract the Ss’s attention
- To help Ss familiarize with the name animals in the circus in English name

Present
- T shows the picture of circus
- T asks students “Do you know who they are” and point at the character in turn.
- Ss answer “ They are Lily, Linda and Nam”
- If student do not remember, teacher will point at the picture and recall again: “ Lily, Linda and Nam”
- T asks Ss: “Do you know where they are?”
- Ss answer “ They are in the circus”
- T continues:
Yes, they are in the circus. Lily, Linda and Nam go to the circus. They see many animals. 
Lily says “I like monkeys.”
Linda also says “Me too. What about you, Nam?”
Nam answer: “Well, I don’t like monkeys. I like bears”
- T shows the complete dialogue on the board.
LiLi: I like monkeys.
Linda: Me too. What about you, Nam?
Nam: Well, I don’t like monkeys.
 I like bears 
- T reads the dialogue 2 times and student listen to the teacher
- T asks Ss to read after her 2 times
-To introduce the dialogue
- To present the structure of expressing “like” or “don’t like”

Practice
-T asks Ss to work in group of 3 people
-T calls on some groups to stand up and practice reading the dialogue
-T divides class into 3 big group, each group will be a character of the dialogue: G1- Lily, G2- Linda, G3- Nam
-T shows pictures about animals 
- T asks Ss what animals are they, Ss answer 
- T choose two pictures ( bear and cat) as an example first , holds each picture in each hand ( bear in right hand, cat in left hand) and practices in front of class:
“Ok, this is a bear,
Lily says I like bear.
Linda says Me too. What about you Nam? Nam says Well, I don’t like bear, I like cat”
-T asks students if they understand and Ss answer.
- T shows pictures two by one, and each group will practice as the character they act with name of a different animal
- T changes the character of groups and ask Ss to continue the same steps
-To help Ss to remember the dialogue
-To help Ss to be active, not depend on the available objects of the dialogue
- to help student to have quick and natural reflex.

-T asks Ss to work in group of 3
-T delivers them papers to draw a picture about an animal they like
-T asks SS to make a new dialogue based on their picture.
-T calls on some group to perform their own dialogue.
-To have the output, after the lesson Ss will be able to make their dialogue about the animals they like or don’t like
-To check the Ss’ attention on the lesson

Homework
T asks Ss to reread the dialogue, learn by heart the new words and make their own dialogue with their friends
