I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to listen for specific information and talk about The Great Wall in China.

I.WARM- UP Picture
- T asks ss to look at the picture and answer the questions
1. What can you see in the picture ?
2. Where do you think it is ?
3. When do you think it was built?
- T listens and corrects the answers.
- T leads into the lesson
II. PRE-LISTENING 
* Pre teach vocabulary: 
- T elicits and presents new words by situation and examples , then odels and writes on the board.
+ man –made wonder (n) kỳ quan nhân tạo (translation)
+ magnificence (n) vẻ nguy nga, tráng lệ (picture)
+ significance (n) importance quan trọng (synonym)
+ World Heritage(n)di sản thế giới (picture+explanation)
+ Dynasty (n) triều đại (translation)
+ ancient (adj) very old (synonym)
- T asks ss to write on the notebooks.
*Checking: Match the pictures with the definitions

III. WHILE- LISTENING
* TASK 1: 
GAP- FILLING
- T asks ss to listen about The Great Wall, one of the wonder. 
- T plays the tape one or two more times and pauses at the answer for them to catch the information.
- T asks ss to work in pair to give the answers in class
- T checks the answers and gives feedback.
TASK 2: 
LISTEN AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS
- T asks ss to listen again and answers the questions.
- T asks ss to work in pair to share the answer together.
- T asks ss to check the answers by listening again.
- T listens and gives the feedback.
IV. POST –LISTENING 
Discussion
- T gets ss to work in groups of 4 to choose and talk about the topic by answering the questions.
