III. GRAMMAR:

* Defining and non-defining relative clauses

- T shows the picture and situation and asks these questions by setting the scene.

EX: T: Do you know the man?

T: The man whom you met in the street yesterday

T: So the man you met yesterday is your cousin

T gives some example for ss to do

+ The girl whom you saw on the bus yesterday is my sister

+ The books that/which I bought yesterday is very interesting

- Elicit when we can leave out the relative pronouns.

Sometimes we can use a participle without a relative pronoun or an auxiliary.

e.g: That man who was sitting next to Angela never said a word.

- T helps ss to review the defining and non-defining relatives and write them on the board

I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, ss will be able to distinguish the sounds / str /, /skr / and / skw /, and learn about the omission of relative pronouns

I. WARM UP Pictures
- T shows the pictures and asks ss to give the name of each and write on the board
- T underlines the vowel- sounds to help ss recognize the sounds
 Scream /skr/ Straw berry /str/ Squirrel / skw/
- T introduce 3 sounds and the lesson.
II. PRONUNCIATION
- T gives some words have the sound / str /, /skr / and /skw/, and asks ss to read out loud in class

- T asks ss to practice the sentences in the textbook at home

à Omission of relative pronouns:
We can leave out the pronoun when it is not the subject of the relative clause. Clauses without pronouns are very common in informal English.
- Take notes on the notebook.
- Work individually to choose the answers
- Work in pairs to compare the answers 
- Read the answers in front of class
