- Ask Ss to say the words for the other pictures.
- Ss trace the letter of the first sound of each picture. They should say the letter sounds quietly to themselves to help them to choose the correct letter for each picture.

2. Count and write.
- Tell Ss to look at activity 2 on page 38.
- Model the activity. Draw a square on the board. Ask What’s this?
- Draw five more squares next to the first one in a row on the board. Ask How many squares?
Count the squares, pointing to each one as the teacher count 1-6.
- Write the number 6 to the right of the row of squares.
- Ss complete the activity by counting the shape and then writing the number.
III. Consolidation.
- Guides Ss to do the mini- test in progress check.
IV. Homelink: - Review at home.
- Review the numbers.
- One S goes to the front and write.
- Whole the class claps six times.
- Repeat with number 7, 4, 5, 3, 2, 1.

 Look at the board and tell the name of the letter and the sound of the letter.
- Say the name of Jig and give the sound of the letter j.
- Some Ss go to the front and trace over the letter with colour.
- Look at page 38 of CB and say the other word for the pictures (iguana, kite, jump)
- Trace the sounds of the letter and say the sounds quietly.

- Look at book at page 38 and answer the questions.

I. Warm up.
- Tell Ss to look at the picture on page 34 and 35. Ask the following questions.
+ Who are they?
+ Where are they?
+ How do you know it’s a farm?
+ Why do the children look happy?
- Check the answers and help them to say the picture right.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and say.
- Tell Ss that they are going to learn the words about some animals on the farm and some outdoor things.
- Play the CD, holding up the flashcards for each animals or thing as its name is said. Pause after each word so Ss can point to the objects in the books. Check Ss are pointing to the correct picture, correct object.
- Play the CD again, pausing after each word. Ss repeat the words chorally and individually.

- Get Ss repeat many times by giving the actions of the animals and ask Ss to call out the name of the animals.
* Game: Slap the board.
- Have Ss play in groups and say the words and slap the correct word when the word is called out.
2. Listen and find.
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen word by word and they should point to that animal or thing in their books.
- Say the words at the random, e.g: flower, sun, field, goat, donkey, duck, butterfly. As the teacher says each word, try to hold up the flashcard to give the Ss visual support.
- Check Ss are pointing to the correct things in their books.
- Play the CD and pause after each word. Ss listen and point to the animal or thing in their books.

3. Further practice (AB page 39).
- Teacher guides how to do the activity in the book.
- Tell them to look at the in the columns, explain how to match the part of the butterfly to the whole butterfly in the book.
- Ask Ss to draw the parts of other things and ask them to match the whole things correct.
- Then ask Ss to colour the pictures. Tell them to stay inside the lines as well as they can.
III. Consolidation.
- Have Ss repeat the topic in the lesson today( Animals on the farm)
IV. Home link.
-Remember at home and practice saying at home.
- Look at the picture on page 34 and 35 and answer the questions.
+ They are: Baz and Tess.
+ They are outdoor, on the farm
+ Because it’s nice to walk in the countryside and admire the scenery and animals. 
- Listen to the teacher and tell some name of the animals the know in Vietnamese.
- Listen to the CD several times, then repeat after the CD in chorally.
- Listen to the CD again and point to correct object when they listen.
- Listen again and repeat in chorally and individually.
- Look at the actions and call out the names of the animals.
* Play game.
- Work in group and play the game (say and do the actions by slapping on the board ).
- Listen to the teacher.
- Listen to the teacher and point to the correct object in the book.
- Listen to the CD, and point to correct object in the book.
- Open the AB at page 39.
- Look at the book and listen to the teacher and do the actions as the teacher guides.
- Match the part to the whole and colour the pictures.

+ Structure: Is it ..? Yes, it is. /No, it isn’t.

I. Warm up.
* Slap the board: work in groups.
- Review the names of the farm animals and outdoor vocabulary.
- Stick the flashcards on the board. Say point to the field. Ask Ss to respond.
- Repeat with other words.
II. New lesson.
1. Listen and say.
- Tell SS to look at the picture on page 34 – 35. Ask Ss to say what they think the characters are doing.
- Play the CD once to check the answer.
- Play the CD again, pausing after each phrase. Ask Ss to repeat after the CD chorally and individually.
- Ask if Ss can remember what Baz thought the donkey might be.

Baz: Look, Tess! Is it a horse?
Tess: No,it isn’t. It’s a donkey.
Baz: Look, Tess. Is it a duck?
Tess: Yes, it is.
Tess: Look at the butterfly, Baz!

2. Say and do.
- Hold up the flashcard of the donkey. Look at it and say: “Look. Is it a horse?
- Ask Ss to answer the question right.
- Hold up the flashcard of the butterfly and ask: Is it a butterfly?
Then ask: Is it blue?
- get SS to know the colour black and white.
- Repeat with other flashcards, naming some of them correctly and others incorrectly. Be sure to only use words that Ss have already learnt.
- If any SS are confident enough, they can take the role in holding up the flashcards and asking questions.
- Get SS work in pairs if they can.
3. Further practice.( AB page 40)
* Find and colour. Say.
- Write the letters a- k on the board. Point to each letter and ask Ss to say the names and the sounds of the letters.
-Point to each letter randomly and ask Ss to give the name of some thing beginning with that sound, 
E.g: c, /k/, coat.
- Tell SS to look at the alphabet at top of page and do.
- Then Ask Ss to colour the picture of the objects.
III. Consolidation.
- Repeat the aim of the lesson today.
IV. Homelink.
- practice and remember at home.
- Review the names of the farm animals.
- Work in 2 groups and listen to the teacher says the word and the slap the word on the board.
- Look at his picture at page 34- 35.Look and say the content of the picture (Tess and Baz are talking about the donkey and the butterfly).
- Listen to the CD.
- Listen to CD again and repeat chorally and individually.
- Ss answer : might be a horse
- Listen to the CD several times and repeat in choral and in group and individually.
- Look at the flashcard and answer: No, it isn’t. It is a donkey.
 - Look at the flashcard of the butterfly and answer: Yes, it is.
- Look and answer: No, it isn’t. It’s red and orange.
- Repeat with other flashcards for the animals and others.
- Work in pairs to ask and answer the questions as the teacher does.
- Look at the board.
- Listen to the teacher and say the name and the sounds of the letters a-k.
- Listen to the guiding of the teacher and colour the letters and the pictures.

- CD track 43, flashcards 92, 93.

I. Warm up.
- Review the capital forms of letters a-k. Write the lower case letters on the board. Call Ss to the front to write the corresponding capital letter. 
- Ask Ss to say the letter name and sound of each letter.
II. New lesson.
1. Learn the letter.
- Hold up the flashcard 92 of the lemon. Say lemon. Ask Ss to repeat the word chorally and individually. Stick the flashcard on the board.
- Write the letter l on the board under the lemon. Point to it and say/l/, lemon.
- Present the word lion. Tell Ss to look at page 36in the book. Hold up the book and point to the lion. Say lion. Ask Ss to repeat chorally and individually.
- Explain the sound and the name of the letter l is different. Have Ss repeat the letter name and the letter sound, along with the word , several times as the teacher points to the pictures and the letters on the board and in the book ( l,/l/, lemon, l, /l/,lion) 
- Write the letter L on the board. Remind SS the letters have the same sound. Remind Ss that we use the capital letters for names and lower case letters for the other words.
- Ask Ss to give a few common names that begin with the sound /l/. Then teacher gives some names in English.
(Laurence, Lewis, Lucy..,)
- Tell SS that they are going to learn how to write the letter Ll. Tell them to look at the letters Ll with the arrows on page 36. 
- Stand with the back to the class; use the finger to write the letter Ll in the air like the guide in the book.
- Tell Ss to copy the teacher’s action.
- Repeat the procedure with the lower case letter l.
- Tell SS to trace over the letters in the books with their fingers.
- Repeat the whole procedure with the letter Mm. Present moon using flashcard 93. and mango by pointing to the picture in the book. Have Ss repeat the letter name, sound, and the word (m,/m/, moon; m, /m/ mango) before moving on to tracing the letters in the book.
2. Sing.
- Tell SS that they are going to learn to sing a song to help them learn the letters Ll, and Mm.
- Play the CD, tell Ss to listen to the song.
- Play the CD again and pause after each line. Sing the line and tell Ss to repeat after the teacher. Tell SS to point to the letters and words in the book as they sing them.
- Play the CD again. Ask Ss to sing the song.

3. Find.
- Tell Ss to find the letter Ll and letter Mn in the alphabet at the top of the page. Ask SS for the name and the sound of the letter before l (k, /k/)
- Tell Ss to look at the picture at the bottom of the page. Say point to the lion. Check that they are pointing to the lion.
- Say Count the lemons. 
- Say Count the mangoes. Ask Ss to count the mango.
- Say Point to the moon. Ask Ss to point to the moon.
Tell Ss to find the things beginning with the sounds /e/ (elephant), /h/(horse), and /i/ (iguana). 
4. Further practice.
Activity Book( page 41)
a. Trace and write
- Tell SS to look at page 41 
- T guides SS how to do the activities in the AB to write and to trace the letters.
b. Trace and write. Colour.
- Tell SS to look at the picture and say the words.
- Ss trace over the letter of each word with their pencils.
- Tell Ss to trace the big letters in the picture with their fingers and then colour them.
- Tell Ss to colour the rest of the pictures. Ask them not to colour outside the lines.
III. Consolidation.
- Ask Ss to repeat the aim of the lesson today.
IV. Homelink.
- Remember at home.
- Some SS go to the front and write the capital letter on the board. Others look at the board and do it by themselves.
- Whole the class says the name and the sound letters.

- CD track 44, 45, flashcards39, 40, 72, 78, 79, 82, 83.

I. Warm up.
- Draw seven mangoes on the board. Ask “How many mangoes?”. Ask Ss to answer the question.
- Erase one mango. Ask: “How many mangoes?”
- Repeat until there is no one left. Ask: “How many mangoes?”.
- Ask Ss to answer in chorally and individually.
II. New lesson.
1. Count 1-9.
- Tell Ss that they are going to learn to count further in English.
- Present number 8 and 9 by drawing 8 butterflies on the board and ask Ss to count the number the butterfly on the board. Then teacher write the number 8 under the butterflies.
- Draw one more butterfly and ask Ss How many butterflies?
- T writes number 9 under them.
- Tell Ss to open the book at page 37. Tell them to listen to the teacher read the number and they should point to the correct picture at the bottom of the page. Say nine, and check that they are pointing the eggs. Repeat with 8.
2. Listen and find.
-Ask Ss to describe the picture in Vietnamese.
- Ask Ss to say the names of the animals in English they can see. Put the flashcards on the board.
- Point and ask Ss for the sound of each animal.
- Explain that the animal sounds are different in English. Point to the donkey and say heehaw. Ask Ss to repeat.
- Repeat with birds (tweet), cats (meow), ducks (quack).
- Tell Ss that they are going to listen to some Ss talking about the picture. Tell them to find and count the animals with the students.
- Play the CD. Tell SS to listen to the conversation.
- Play the CD again, and pause after each animal is counted.
- Call one Ss to the front to put the correct number flashcard for that animal on the board under its picture ( donkey- 8, bird- 9, duck- 8)
- Listen to the CD and find the animals they heard.

- Teach an action for each animal ( Ss can help choose the action for the teacher)
- Play the CD again and ask Ss to sing the song. Point to each animal flashcard on the board as its verse is sung.

a. Count and match.( AB page 42)
- Tell Ss to look at the picture in the book at page 42 and ask Ss to do some activities (count the number of the animals and say the name of the animals , then match the number with the animals.
b. Trace and write.
- Guide SS to write the numbers 8 and 9and trace the number before writing.
III. Consolidation
- Ask Ss to repeat the aim of the lesson today.
IV. Home link.
- Remind SS to remember at home.
- Look at the board and answer the question. “ seven”
- “six”
- Repeat until no mangoes.
- Listen and answer “no mangoes”.
- Listen to the teacher.
- Look at pictures on the book and answer the question.
- Say the number 8 and number 9.
- Look at the books, listen to the teacher and point to the correct picture in the book.
- Look at the picture and describe it.
- Say the names of some animals in the picture: donkeys, birds, ducks, cats.
- Say the sound of some animals.
- Listen and repeat the sounds of some animals.
- Listen to the Ss and find and count the animals.
- Listen to the CD.
- Listen again and count.
- Some SS go to the board and put the correct number under its picture.
