Getting started
- Hang on the pictures and introduce the celebrations.
- Tell Ss to work with a partner to match the icons with the names of the celebration they represent . 
- Observe and listen.
- Match the correct pictures with their number.

2/ Presentation: (12’)
$Activity 1: Pre-teach vocabulary
- Introduce the topic of the passage reading and some new words to Ss.

3. Israel (n) (translate ) ->Jewish (a) -> Jewish people 
4. Occur (v) = happen / take place

- Turn on the tape 2 times and ask Ss to check their predictions. 
- Call on some Ss to read their answers and ask them to open their books to check again.

b. They are Lunar New Year , Passover and Easter .

- Have Ss read the passage about celebrations in Vietnam and other countries. 
- Divide class into 3 group to complete the table.
