Set the scene: In VietNam people do not celebrate Mothers Day or Fathers Day You think its necessary to have a day to celebrate for your Mon or Dad. Write a letter to tell how to celebrate that Day.

Times: 45 ms Procedures: Teachers’ activities Students’ activities Warm up: (5ms) Give some words and call Ss to arrange them in to the same subject. Gifts,songs,people, friends,tourists, mother’sDay , national Day ,season, cake ,keyboard ,tears, Passover, Christmas,activist Pre-writing: (12ms) -Ask some question about how to write a letter. While – Writing : (15ms) Ask Ss to answer the questions. 1.why should we celebrate Mother’s Day? 2.When should we celebrate the day? 3.How can you celebrate that day? 4.What special gifts and food can you give your mother? Divide Ss into 6 groups and each group write a paragraph. Have Ss to write a letter after reading the outline on page 70. Post- Writing: (10ms) Ask them to wrap their letters, compare with their partner’s and correct . Choose some letters to correct in class. Ask Ss to ask and answer the reason to choose the date and how to celebrate the day. Homework: (3ms) Ask Ss to write the letter in their notebooks and prepare part language focus. Rearrange the words in the table. Who Which When Remind the format of a letter . Listen to the scene. Copy new words and repeat in chorus. Read aloud the new words without seeing them. Read the outline. Answer the questions. Answer . Work in groups. Write the letter in groups. Exchange the letter and compare and correct. Present good letters in front of the class.
