Give the preparations before a typhoon comes. Work in groups to write down preparations before a typhoon. Copy the new words. Read the new words. Read the sentences given. Check and correct. Call Ss to match the definitions and the name of natural disasters. Names: earthquake, tidal waves, typhoon, volcanoes and tornadoes. Definitions: 1.mountain or hill with openings through which ashes and gases ejected. 2.Violent storm especially in Asian countries. 3,Waves caused by the tides, 4.Suddent and violent movements of the earth’s surface. 5.Storm which has funnel shaped. 2, Pre-reading: (12ms) Show the picture and introduce the scenes.”The pictures show us five the natural disasters .Now we are going to learn the passage to know about them clearly.” Give guiding questions: Ask Ss to discuss and answer.
