1.Warm up: (7ms) Brainstorming
Ask Ss to work in groups and review all the ways to save energy which they have learned in unit 7
Gather ideas from groups and have some final thoughts on ways to save energy .
2.Activity 1 Language focus 1
Presentation: (6ms)

b/Practice: (8ms) Language focus 1 :
Complete sentences by using connectives.
Ask Ss to write and compare with their friends’
Call Ss to read and to write the sentences on the board.
Correct and give the key.
Mrs. Quyen bought corn, potatoes and cabbages at the market.
I’d love to play volleyball but I have to complete an assignment.
Nam got wet because he forgot his umbrella.
Hoa failed the Math test. Therefore she has to do the test again.
Do you want Vietnamese tea or milk tea?
It’s raining ,so I can’t go to the beach.
Ba’s hobbies are playing football and collecting stamps.
Na is very tired .However, she has to finish her homework before she goes to bed.
3.Activity 2:language focus 2 .
a.Presentation: (6ms)
Implicit the meanings of the phrasal verbs through examples:
Now can you guess the meaning of those of phrasal verbs in the following context?
It’s dark .Can you turn on the light?
Please turn off your shoes to come in the house.

-Give the meanings of verbs.
1.turn on >< turn off ( action)
2.look for = find
3.look after = take care of
4.go = keep on = continue.
Matching: Ask Ss to match the verbs with the right picture.
Correct.
b.Practice: (8ms)
Have Ss do language focus 2 .
Read the request :Complete the sentences .Use the right tense form of the phrasal verbs in the box and the pictures.
Ask Ss to fill the correct verbs.
Have Ss compare with their friends’.
Correct 
Give the key.

4.Production: ( 8ms)
 Review some structure to make suggestions
Divide the class into 2 teams:
Team 1 makes suggestions to help the poor in the neighborhood.Team2 makes suggestions to improve their English
Ask Ss to present and remark.
Correct.
5.Homework: (2ms)
Ask Ss to redo all exercises and prepare for test 
 Work in groups and review all the ways to save energy which they have learned in unit 7
Listen to the teacher’s explanation.
Copy the note 
Give examples to demonstrate the connectives.
Do language focus 1 : Complete sentences by using connectives.
Write and compare with their friends’
Read and to write the sentences on the board.
Correct and remark.
Copy and translate the sentences into Vietnamese.
Look at the examples and guess the meanings of the phrasal verbs.
Give the meanings.
Give some phrasal verbs and the meanings .
Copy and give more examples.
Look at the pictures and match the verbs given with the right pictures.
Correct and read aloud the verbs.
Do language focus 2 .
Show picture and read the verb. Use the right tense form of the phrasal verbs in the box and the pictures to complete the sentences
Compare with their friends’.
Read the whole sentences and write the whole sentences with the correct form of the verbs.
Remark and correct.
Copy .
Remind some structures of suggestions.
Give examples.
Work in two teams.
Team 1 makes suggestions to help the poor in the neighborhood 
Team2 makes suggestions to improve their English
Present in front of the class.
Copy and remember to do the task
