- +Imperative: S+ asked / told S.O + to infinitive

+Question:

S+ asked if / whether + S + V . . .

S+ asked Wh-word + S + V . . .

 * We use “if” or “whether” to introduce a reported question.

- * In reported speech questions, the word order is the same as in statements.

- Give examples.

EX:Lan said:” I often go to school early”.

àLan said that she often went to school early.

Ex:Nam said to me : “ I will help you with your study.”

àNam told me that he would help me with my study.

 Ex: Lan said to Nam :” Do you often walk to school?”

àLan asked Nam if Nam often walked to school.

Ex: Hoa said to us :“What are you doing?”

àHoa asked us what we were doing.

REVISION
Objectives :	After finishing the lesson, students( Ss)can review knowledge to prepare for the first semester examination.
Language contents:
Vocabulary	:Revision on friendship, countryside, media and ASIAN countries.

 + Reported speech.

	 + Gerund
 + Reason and result clauses. 	
	 + Passive voice
	 + Simple past and present perfect tense.

Teaching aids:	pictures of activities in class-text book.

1/Warm up: (5ms)
Ask Ss to remind some verbs followed by gerund. Then they ask and answer about their hobby. 
2/Presentation: (10ms)
Action 1: Reported speech
Ask Ss to tell how to change from the directed speech into reported speech in statement, Imperative , question.
Take notes some changes .
Notes: change in tenses, adverbs, the first and second person pronouns ,articles of reported speech.

 Action 3: 
Revision the verb WISH 
Give structure
S +WISH +S +WOULD +V ( future)
S+ WISH + S+ V ( simple past)
 Were ( To be)
EX:You are a student now (This is the fact and you can’t change it )
àYou wish you were a singer.
Example 2: You can’t speak French .( The true fact )
àYou wish : I wish I can’t speak French
Example 3: You don’t have a bike .
àYou say : I wish I had a bike.
3/Practice : (12ms)
Call Ss to look at the exercise given on the extra board.
Exercise :Rewrite the sentences as directed:
1. We wish The air were not polluted 
2. They wish They went by train every day 
3.He said he could swim. 
4.Lan asked Minh if he went with her. 
5.They asked me Where they would go
6.He asked his mother What he was doing 
7.He was sad ,because he got bad mark. 
8.A lot of trees were planted there. 
9. His bike has not repaired by him yet. 
10. A big building will be built here. 
Correct and remind some mistakes.
4/Production: (10ms)
Play the game .
Ask a student make a sentences in directed speech and exchange and ask their partner to change into reported speech.
Ask a student to give a sentence and their friend make a wish sentences.
5/Homework: (2ms)
Ask Ss to redo all exercises and prepare to do a forty-five minute test.
Ask and answer about their hobby using gerund.
A: What do you like doing in free time?
B: I like +V-ing.
Correct and give remark.
Tell how to change into reported speech.
Give the form .
Give more examples.
Read aloud some items changed 
Observe how to change.
Copy the notes and examples .
