Warm up: (5ms)
Matching
- Ask Ss to write down 2 sentences on two different pieces of paper.
- Give the key.
1-d, 2-c, 3-b, 4-a , 5-e
Activity 1 (Language focus 1)
Presentation: (10ms)
Give the picture and call Ss to answer the questions.
What do these people wish?
- Give feedback.
Show how to write the WISH sentence.
Give example.
I am not strong( real situation)
I wish I were strong.
Practice: (10ms)
- Ask Ss to look at the pictures and make sentences.
Give the key.
a). Ba wishes he could have a new bicycle.
b). Hoa wishes she could visit her parents.
c). I wish I could pass the exam.
d). We wish it did not rain.
e). He wishes he could fly.
f). They wish they stayed in Hue.
Activity 2( language focus 2+3)
Presentation: (5ms)
- Review the usage of the prepositions of time.
+ IN: + month / year / season : vào
+ ON:+ day / weekend. : vào
+ AT: + time ( at night ) : vào
+ Till / Untill : cho đến khi

Ask Ss to look at Mr Thanh’s itinerary for his business trip to Singapore .

Call Ss to work in groups .
Ask Ss to give the prepositions.
Ask Ss to read the whole sentences.

Give the scenes and make sentences with adverb clause of result.
Introduce the word “ SO “ and how to use.
Give meaning of the word “SO”
Give form: 
Clause of cause ,so + clause of result. 
SO: used to express the result of the statement before.
Give example :
Because Hoa worked hard, she passed the exam.
 Hoa worked hard, so she passed the exam.
Guide how to join two half sentences in A with the ones in B.

Ask Ss to match in pairs .Then exchange to correct and compare.
Ask Ss to write the finished sentences on BB.
Call Ss to correct .
Give the key.
