- Set the scene .

Ask Ss to look at the dialogue on page 21.

Distinguish between the simple past and present perfect.

* The past simple to talk about definite time.

* The present perfect to talk about indefinite time.

Give the situation:

Tom and Mary are talking to each other about activities they have done and did.Pay attention to the adverb “Ever”.

Guide how to do.

Tom: Have you ever been to Singapore?

Mary: No, I haven’t.

Tom: Have you ever been to France?

Mary: Yes, I have.

Tom: When did you go there?

Mary: Two years ago.

Objectives :	After finishing the lesson students( Ss) will be able to review and practice the main grammar learnt in unit 2 and prepare to do a forty-five- minute test.

	- Distinguish the difference in using the past simple and the present perfect tense.
	- The passive forms of the present perfect, simple present, simple past, simple future and modal auxiliaries.

Activity 1: Language focus 2
a, Presentation: (5ms)
Call Ss to remind how to use the present perfect and the adverbs following .
Call Ss to give the example.
Review the present perfect with “already” and “yet” 
- Elicit the use and the position of “already’ and “Yet”
in the sentence.
Present the structure.
Have +S+ PP ........ yet?
Has
Yes, S+ have /has already +PP ....... Notes: Already is used in affirmative sentences.
+ Yet is used in the negative sentences and question (end of the sentence). 
Call Ss to read the sights and food .
Ask them to match the verb with the suitable objects.
Ask them to write on BB.
Correct .

Call Ss to ask and answer in pairs.
Give the model:
A: Have you seen Giac Lam pagoda yet?
B: Yes, I’ve already seen it.
A: Have you eaten Vietnamese food yet?
B: No, I haven’t.

Review present perfect with “ever”

Give example.
You must do this exercise carefully.

Ask Ss to complete the sentences using the passive forms.
Correct.

5. Homework: (2ms)
Ask Ss to redo all exercises
Present how to use and the formation of the present perfect tense.
Remember the usage of present perfect with already and yet.
Present in front of the classroom.
Copy the content.
Read the sights and food.
Match the verbs and suitable objects.
Write on BB
Correct .
- I have seen Giac Lam pagoda.
- I have eaten Chinese and French food.
- I haven’t seen Unification palace, zoo and Botanical Garden, I haven’t tried Vietnamese vegetarian.
