II/ Checking the old lesson: (3’)
- Ask Ss to read the text.
- Introduce the topic of the lesson.
III/ New lesson: (35’)
1. Pre- writing:
- Explain the request of writing lesson.
- Explain new words .
- Guide Ss to read it once
- Set the scene: In VN people do not celebrate Mother’s Day or Father’s Day . You think it is necessary to have a day to celebrate for your Mom and another for your Dad. Write to a friend to share this idea.Now work with a friend to brainstorm the reasons for celebrating, when and how to celebrate the days.
- Gather some ideas and tell ss to open the book. 
2. While- writing:
- Ask Ss to follow the out line and work independently to write a letter to a friend as instructed.
- Ask s to compare their writing with a friend.
- Call some Ss to read their writing aloud infront of the class
- Comment and give suggested answers.
3. Post- writing:
- Ask Ss to work with a friend, exchange their writing and correct for each other. Ss are asked to recognize their friend’s mitakes is the writing and offer the suggested corrections.
- Pick up some typical writing to corect infront of the class
- Retell their writing.

II. Practice: 
* First paragraph:
In some countries such as: Australia and the USA, children celebrate Mother’Day or Father’ Day. In our country, I think it is necessary that we should have a day to celebrate for our Mom and another for our Dad.These are occations for us to express feelings, memories and great love, gratitude (lòng biết ơn) to our parents. They are also opportunities to enhance family traditions and bring family members closer.
* Second-paragraph:
 After thinking over the idea.I suggest that we should choose the first Sunday of January to celebrate a day for our Mom and the first Sunday of June to celebrate the other for our Dad. I choose these days because they are easy to remember. Moreover, everyone is free on these days. I think It is not necessary to have parties but it’s good idea to have a meal with all members of the family. Children should give their parents flowers, send them cards expressing feellings, love and gratitude and bring them a special cake (or children also should serve their parents the food that they like best)
* Incoclusion:
Everyone loves their parents and wants their parents to be happy. I hope that my idea will be supported and the day will be celebrated nation wide. Do you agree with me on this?

- Prepare “Language focus”.
