* At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to read postcards or letters to understand children's opinions, feelings and memories about their fathers on the Father's day in Australian and USA.
* Contents: 
 + Vocabulary: tear, groom, hug, considerate, priority, distinguish, terrific…
 + Grammar: Relative clause, relative pronouns. 
* Skills: + Read the postcards or letters to understand then answer the questions.
 + Talk about their feeling and memories about their father.

+ What’s the date today?
II/ Checking the old lesson: (3’)
- Ask Ss to give a complement.
- Introduce the topic of the lesson.
III/ New lesson: (35’)
1. Pre- reading:
- Play the tape first, Ss listen & find out new words.
- Explain the difficult words
- Guide Ss to read the new words.
- Ask Ss to find out new structure by giving examples
2. While- reading:
- Guide the students discussion:
- Talk about Father's Day:

+ Purposes
+ Activities
- Let Ss know that the lesson containing some opinions, feelings and memories of children about their father on Father’s Day. 
- Listen to the Audio-CD.
- Read the text carefully and find the answers to the questions a) – d).
3. Post- reading:
- Ss work in groups to guess and write down the children's opinions and feelings about their fathers. (Love, be proud of, admire, respect, etc.)
- Call some Ss to check.
- Correct then give the answer.(if any)

* Discussion: Talk about Father's Day
1. Date: - In UK/USA: 3rd Sunday in June.
 - In Catholics: March 19.
2. Purposes: - to honor fathers.
 - to give thanks.
 - to give presents or cards.
3. Activities: 
- In many Catholic countries, March 19th (St Joseph's Day) is quite a big event, Joseph was the human father of Christ.
- All the family gets together to celebrate the date of the Father.
* Answer:
a. She sends this card to her Dad . 
b. He is possibly dead.These ideas may tell that ‘How much you are missed and loved…I now have children, Dad’
c. His sense of humor.
d. Depend on Ss. (A father as a teacher, a caretaker, a friend,…)
* Discuss:
1. Can you tell me about your father?
2. How old is he ?
3. What does he do?
4. What does he look like?
5. What do you like best about him?
6. What are you feeling and opinion about him?
7. Which memories do you have about your father that you remember until now
* Homework:
- Read and translate the passages again.
- Prepare “Write”.
