Solar panel are placed on the roof of a house and the sun energy can be stored for a number of days , so on cloudly day you can use solar energy too. Sweden has an advanced solar energy program.There all buildings will be heated by solar energy and cars will use solar energy instead of gas by the year 2015

Objectives: * At the end of the lesson, Ss can practice with listening skill by catching the main information about the solar energy. * Contents: + Vocabulary: solar energy, install, solar panels, store. + Grammar: Connection words. * Skills: + Listen to the news on solar energy then check True or False. + Listen and fill the words they hear. + Talk something about solar energy. B. Teaching aids: CD- player, Sub-board. C. Teaching procedures: Activities Contents I/ Organization: (1’) + Who’s absent today? + What’s the date today? II/ Checking old lesson: (3’) - Check their works. - Introduce the topic of the lesson. III/ New lesson: (35’) A. Listen: 1. Pre- listening: - Read the forms of lesson and get Ss to give out the new words. - Write them on the board and give meaning then guide Ss the way to read. - Read and ask Ss to read after 3 times. - Call Ss to read. - Remark. 2. While- listening: - Ask Ss to listen to the tape one time then give the situations of it. - Get Ss to listen to it 2 times then guide Ss the way to catch the main information of the text. - Ss listen sentence by sentence to check. - Ask Ss to decide which sentence T/ F. If F, correct it by the right sentence. - Remark. - Ss listen again 2 times and find out the right words to fill in the blanks. - Call Ss to write down. - Remark then repeat the main contents of the lesson. - Ask them to explain their choice. 3. Post- listening: - Ask Ss to check the answer together. - Ask Ss to read the part B aloud. - Check and correct. 2. Language focus 1: - Repeat the way to use the connection words to combine the sentences to one. - Ask Ss to give the examples following the connection words. - Remarks. - Get Ss to read the sentences and the words provided then choose the right words to put into the blanks to complete the sentences. - Call Ss to write the words they chose to write on the board. - Remark then gives the correct the answer.
