B. Teaching aids: CD- player, subboard. C. Teaching procedures: Activities Contents I. Organization. (1’) - Greeting and checking attendance. II. Checking the old lesson. (4’) -(Optional) - Students match the words on the left with the information on the right and then guess the meaning of the words on the left. III. New lesson. (35’) 1. Pre - reading. - Introduce the lesson by asking some questions: What do you know about Malaysia such as area, population, climate, capital city…? - Ss may guess and answer. - Read the text slowly, Ss find the new words - Explain the meaning, guide Ss to read - Call some Ss to read. - Correct their mistakes of pronunciation. 2. While- reading. - Ask Ss to look at the map and read the text again then fill in the table with the right information about Malaysia. - Let Ss change the answer to the other to compare. - Call Ss read the answer and the other to write on the board. - Show the subboard in which has the right answer. - Ss skim again the text once more to check T or F sentences. - Correct the False sentences. - Give the right answer. 3. Post- reading. - Ss read the information they have found in READ a (P. 10) and then work in group of four to talk about Malaysia. IV. Feedback. (3’) - Guide the students write it up. V. Homework.
