Objectives: * At the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to write the letter’s requires about the coure based on the outline and the words given. * Contents: + Vocabulary: formal, fee, faithfully, inquiry + Grammar: Present & Past simple tenses. * Skills: + Read the letter. + Know the form of the letter. + Write a letter of inquiry follow the outline B. Teaching aids: Subboard. C. Teaching procedures: Activities Contents I. Organization: (1’) - Greeting. - Checking the attendance. II. Checking the old lesson: (4’) - Give the situations of the lesson. - Ask Ss some questions: + What is the letter of inquiry? + How will you write it if you want to attend an E course? - Ask Ss to discuss in pairs - Call some to answer III. New lesson: (36’) 1. Pre- writing: - Read the text and get Ss. to give out new words. - Write them on the board and give meaning, read them first then get Ss to read after 3 times. - Call Ss to read. - Remark then ask Ss. to read them after again. call Ss to repeatt he presentsimple and past simple tense ASk Ss to make some examples 2. While- writing: - Read the letter first then give the situations of the form. - Read it again 2 times then ask Ss to read - Ask Ss to reread and choose one of three advertisements of part 5 (read). Then write a letter of inquiry for information about fees and improving E class - Let Ss read outline about each part of the leter - Let Ss discuss in groups of four about what they’ll write. then write individually. - Call Ss to write on the board. - Remark. 3. Post- writing: - Give the form of the letter then get Ss to complete it. IV. Feedback: (3’) - Repeat the main contents of the lesson. (use a subboard) V. Homework: (1’) - Learn the new words by heart. - Complete the letter. - Do Ex 2 (in the workbook). - Prepare: Language focus.
